I did the walk with Grimer. I caught 1. So from 3 candies all the way to 50. Caught a second Grimer about a week after I had my Muk lol.
I caught a few dozen Porygon during the V-Day event so I just need an Upgrade and another Porygon to appease my must have one of everything collection. Need a Chansey too because I evolved mine thanks again to the events double candies and hatching one. And Golbat. Gonna need another Scyther and Seadra too. Uhhg this is a headache!!! Need so many extras.
I was so close to done the original dex. Just needed Dragonite and Kabutops

Got my second evolution item today. It was also on a daily bonus spin so I assume that's the only way to get them.

Nah ive gotten 3 now without daily spin but its been around 1000stops. Someone posted the drop rate was datamined at 0.4%

missed the event since i was abroad. would have been nice to have the chance at more chansets and porygons. cant complain too much though, i have a blissey, its just low level.

I got 1300 candy from the event, but not enough high IV chanseys to use it, still have 1000 left :\

Battling a Blissey is just stupid lol. I wasn't paying attention my first time and timed out fighting with a vaporeon 600cp higher...
I fortunately hatched a porygon during the event so fortunately I only need 10 more candy and an Upgrade. I have yet to get a Chansey though 
Can't complain too much as I hatched a Grimer then caught a high IV level 29 or so Grimer a few weeks later and walked that one for the remaining 30 candy or so. I can actually put it in gyms which is probably more than most just completing their dex with one.

same. timed out with lvl 32 vap/dragonites against a level 37 blissey. so i just killed everything below it and said fuck you, have fun prestiging. the amount of hp is ridiculous. i have never had a problem taking out a pokemon before that was higher cp/level, including snorlaxes, for prestiging.

I got a sun stone on my7 day streak, only item i got so far and i play daily. Yesterday my wife, one of my kids and i went to Long Beach pike, here in socal and my son got 2 special items from the same stop and it wasn't a streak but i think it was a mega stop

luckily i go take gyms with my wife so fighting 2 vs blissey aint that bad even tho still hard ,but doable, trying to prestive gyms with blisseys is almost impossible

It's the ~55 boost Blissey gets from evolving that makes it really hurt. Chansey was already something like 45% tankier than Snorlax, but Blissey is ~33% tankier than Chansey.

Max CP of 3670 for Tyranitar makes him the new king of catchable CP monsters. Ho-Oh, if ever released is the king of em all at 4650!
I have hatched two Larvitar so far so maybe I'll be able to get a decent Tyranitar!

No gen 1 fighting type could beat a same level Snorlax without a tonne of dodging. No reason to think they stand even a glimmer of hope vs an even stronger pokemon despite getting some new and better moves. In gen two the fighting types are bad. Hitmontop is a mid carder and Tyrogue is NFE
Heracross is the exception. CP of nearly 3K will allow it to take out Tyranitar's but even Dragonite had counters (Gyarados & Lapras being the best two)
Vaporeon may be attacking super effectively but literally everyone know how to time the dodge for those moves now and Tyranitar hits for normal damage back. Should be a win unless you miss the 2 Hydro Pump dodges.

You're overlooking the move rebalance.
Machamp's previous best fighting quick move was Karate Chop, which came in at a dreadful 9.23DPS on it and 7.69EPS. It's current fiighting move is Counter, which Machamp hits for 16.67DPS with an 8.89EPS. Just focusing on the quick moves, he is doing 80.5% more damage and generating 15.5% more energy.
His old best offensive charge move was Cross Chop, weighs in at 49.33DPS over 1.5s while his newest, while Dynamic Punch does 48.89DPS over 2.7s
Machamp does a lot more damage now.

Also no one cares about actually defending, we just want top spots on our lvl 10 megagyms so we don't get kicked out, Tyranitar is awesome.
Sadly I've seen 0 Larvitars so far, and the spoofers in my region already have 3K tyranitars, so it'll be a while
According to the scanner we use here, there have been 3 Larvitars in the last 24 hours. That's pretty brutal. No pokemon with evolutions does worse, though Chansey/Miltank/Tangela/Corsola have only been seen once.
