Mmmm this will be delicious on the 5th of Feb. It so happens that I will have only 1 exam during my session and then winter VACation till the 18th of Feb. I will enjoy this game thoroughly and properly this coming month =)

The only reason would be fear of launch day crashes and bugs that render the game unplayable, which is not out of the question.

For long war, is it just me or the soldiers can't seem to hold their weapons correctly in the load out if said weapon isn't the default assault rifle?

Like their left hands are supporting air as opposed to making physical contact with the gun. Noticed this on assault carabine and SMG.

Hope XCOM2 mods will be better than this.

That's because the stance is independent from the size of the weapon. One of the engine's limitation.

From the looks of the previews of Xcom 2, the game does not seem to have any major issues so I feel safe as well

The gameplay was pretty decent from their livestream yesterday. It looks really decent..

Except it's still $79.99 CAD for me which is a lot!... not to mention I have other games I should finish and play before considering buying this.

Too bad, guess I can't watch streamers on the day of release playing this game either

I'm hoping this will be paced longer than X-Com without the need for mods. Just looking at Steam, my game time for Xenonauts is around 80ish hours and only 40 for XCom. It felt too short when I finished it and I never got motivated to do another playthrough. I believe I was around 70-80 hours per campaign for the original X-Coms as well.

Very transparent and professional release management, it really shows how confident they are in their game.
Be nice, buy wards and don't feed double buff.

:< they changed the get a free turn when conceal breaks T.T . Now if you break conceal on the enemy turn, you still get your free overwatch round. But the enemy can decide to fire instead of running for cover. Which might hurt alot lol.

Review codes 2 weeks early and telling people about them is a very good sign. Excited for the mobile command center and more active down time between missions. That was the weakest part of the old design.

from what i gathered on reddit streamers (beaglerush) cheesed the shit out of the ai with the old system, completely ignoring cover to get the best overwatch shots. ill hope they will fix some upcoming ai exploits as well in the first months, never really liked them.

yupp it was so strong, that it didn't make sense to do it differently. But like I said they changed that. Didn't remove it completely though.

Clipping was common in EU/EW as well. It's a pretty safe bet that this will never get fixed due to the sheer complexity of the issue.

The bigger problem is that clipping doesn't seem to play nice with environmental destruction. I've seen soldiers do things like destroy their own cover, or set their own cars on fire.
