started playing yesterday, being North Korea is the best because whatever you do, it's hilarious regardless of the context.

defend yourself from assholes trying to eat you.

only if you're small enough. Otherwise they pop you.

By far the fastest way to grow is eating other players. Saw a dude shoot from starting speck to number 2 in like 30 seconds that way, my food farming ass got eaten later by three punks working together to fence me in

I like the strategy. Splitting is used to catch little guys, cover more area to farm food (so you are bigger when you join back up) or to run away with a surviving piece right before you get gobbled. I haven't found the mass eject very useful though, it doesn't do enough to either speed you up or slow a pursuer down to overcome the split-gobbles they do.

If you are a little guy FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AVOID THE EDGES OF THE MAP.

You automatically recombine after 30 seconds of a split, plus an unknown amount of time per mass you were when you split. I think blowing up on a virus (the green spiky things) will recombine faster though.

If you shoot mass into a virus with W (7 times I believe) it will shoot out a new virus on the opposite side. You can use this as a medium-sized cell to blow up large cells into smaller pieces, and then you can go gobble them up this is only really useful from about 500 onwards though in my experience.

Splitting up gives you more vision and makes you faster, but makes you more vulnerable.

Once you get to around 2000 you can't sustain yourself with the tiny little food cells, you are forced to eat other cells to maintain size or increase. I find the best way to do that around that size is to corner people.

There is some form of anti-griefing where if you feed yourself to a friend and they feed you back repeatedly then you blow up into tiny pieces in a big circle, and then get disconnected.

I think the current limit is around 18000, I've definitely gotten to around 16000 before.

Wut, I was top 3 on US East and the server randomly restarted or something? Suddenly it reloaded and I was back at starting size and the leaderboard was swept clean.

you can always use them as defence no matter how big you are. just position yourself in a way that the bigger guys cant get to you.

The servers reset every 6 hours or so I think, something like that.
