Where all all the posters here who berated me for saying that the NA scene completely died when IBP got banned and that the current teamliquid roster is the biggest joke of a team to get picked up by any major organization in the history of csgo? Not only was I right, but NA is getting worse by the day this year. Such a pathetic showing.

Dude, they faced fnatic. They need more experience against the top EU teams. I think this is more on how things are structured then on NA not training hard enough

No this has nothing to do with fnatic being the best team in the world. With strats like that you even lose against random Supreme/GE teams from EU matchmaking.
i RLY not wanna sound flaming or terrible or anything but ... teamliquid is not only not on the level with fnatic but no even playing the same game it looks like
damn that was dissapointing was hoping for tl
is there such a high skillgap between europe and america ?
its not like fnatic played AMAZING or anything but even me as noob saw all of tl mistakes
if EU is so much better then NA in csgo then tl needs an europe csgo squad ^^ i am not used to see tl lose anything!

Meh, let's not pretend TL has a great team, even when talking about NA rosters. Yes the experience/training is a factor, but TL's roster does not compare at all to the great EU teams.
ok as after what happend vs fnatic i think we can all agree they would go 0-16 0-16 vs nip and never can leave this group BUT whats vs immunity ? they are aussis tl can beat them cant they ? sadly even if they win there nothing to win expect groupplace 3

Fnatic is better than NiP, just saying, but yea they should beat immunity. At least they should be able to beat them.

You are probably not going to see a great NA team for some time. They just failed to create a superteam with the last NA shuffle. Yes C9 is a bit better, but still not enough imo to beat world-class teams. CLG is ok, but not a superteam either. And the others lag even further behind.

Don't get me wrong, NiP is my favorite team too, but this is not a reason to be blind. Fnatic and EnvyUs are clearly above the rest at 1 and 2. NiP is probably third (or 4th maybe if you think TSM is better).

They almost all got banned for matchfixing (except skadoodle) which is the big problem NA has. They were clearly the best and most promising team in NA and they left a big void.

IIRC Fnatic was not at that tournament. But then again, ranking does not occur on one tournament only.
I don't know how long we can blame NA for being lazy, I'd rather blame structure Like in SC2 when foreigners went to Korea they became really good. And it's not like those guys were slacking off when they were in NA/EU

1. Its another Tier2 NA team. They are not on the level of the good EU teams, I don't see them winning over TSM, Navi and VP.
2. They qualifiers were an regional online league afaik. And they simply allowed more EU teams in.
3. VP could be in the final too, Navi if they are in form.
4. They either did not bother playing in the online league, or did not make it, I don't know exactly. Top teams can allow themselves to pick and choose which "medium" tournaments they go to, as there are many of them.

Envy actually didn't qualify
wow who kicked them out ?
As the qualifiers were basically a region based league they were kicked out by the qualified eu teams. I remember them playing really sloppy in the Face It League.

Elevate is 10x the team liquid is. They have both international champion veterans and young players with massive potential. Tl is dead in their next match.

Both Guardian and JW are quite inconsistent, but I still hold them as the very best awpers
I see your point tho, there is a big difference between on-Guardian and off-Guardian
He's one of the more consistent AWPers actually. AWPers (really, everyone in general) have major ups and downs, but GuardiaN is there alongside kennyS and JW in terms of consistency (and even kennyS and JW have their ups and downs, though kenny's inconsistency is a recent thing). Other than them there's maybe s1mple and Skadoodle who have been relatively consistent AWPers.
You guys are good players, but 1 major thing I noticed (whether you want to take the criticism or not, all good), are your speed after picks. Strats need to be determined AFTER a pick. You can't just take your time, the rotation is coming. Cut off rotation, punish them if they are in "difficult-to-retreat" positions. This comes with practice scenarios. There are set spots players are usually going to be in when they're playing hard, so you need to play out scenarios as to who penetrates where into the site and it needs to be done quickly.
Just waiting around and being passive is not a valid strategy. Don't just balls out rush, but get your ass in there pretty quickly so you can take the site, and KNOW where everyone is going to stand. Know who's job it is to peek and bait so that your team can trade if they need to.
I think a team needs to learn how to play "properly" first BEFORE ever trying to be spontaneous. Stop trying to do weird stuff, just play straight up. Once you have straight forward play PERFECTED, then getting crazy can be added in later, however your consistency will increase if you have a set way you usually play.
Little fixes guys, and get your confidence back.
You guys are soooo good, I can't wait for when you guys start tearing it up! :D
So what do you guys think about the new NA meta? Rushing through smokes without any flashes nor reason, and of course the famous "let's constantly peek in afterplant situations like silvers do".

It's thinking outside the box! If they don't expect you being stupid they might not capitalize on it
What a complete choke from Liquid. Daps shotcalling has been pretty bad. Leaving behind the bomb was inexcusable. Its frustrating to watch this team sometimes. I feel like Nazgul needs to take control of this team from liquid112 and make some roster changes.
I've been saying for Liquid to kick Daps from the team for a while now. He has been the weakest link since this team was formed. I don't understand why Liquid replaced Naf for Elige when Daps is the weakest player.
Also, whoever is the coach for Liquid needs to come up with more strategy for the team. I feel like there needs a complete roster overhaul even if they win this match. They can't compete against Europe atm.
loosing vs an australian team ... how deep can you fall

to be fair, no american team can however they try to make it "star" team they all fall to europeans its another level
If Liquid lose to an Australian team, I think roster changes isn't enough. I think the whole team needs to be dropped and Liquid needs to pick a European team. Losing to an Aussie team is unacceptable.
finally tl take the errors of immunity (which there are PLENTY) and taking them in kills
... i rly like this JAMES guy xD
only taking 0-1 guys in eco rounds isnt making it for tl they need at least kill like 3 guys sometimes im so much money otherwise
when its played like that i much more like to see im vs nip/fnatic then tl getting their 2-16 their again so perhaps im winning gives better next rounds
On May 02 2015 20:11 ptbl wrote: Damn, how many times did Liquid lose a round after getting a opening frag...
when you after half time not understand that im is pushing like crazy ... no one can help you anymore ... i mean im pushes WAY to agressive tl can play it and destroy them but they play im in their hands
i understand that they say "ok loosing to top eu team fnatic we are fine with it eu is to strong" but what they say about loosing vs an australian team ? expect "in honor of this lovely game we all retire" xD
they had the same problems all over the lan and they never fix them
i dont understand why would players peak so much when they are 2v1 and with the bomb down :/
But whatever LAN experience its what will make you a better team, just make sure you guys are actually watching the games over and over again to realize the problems.
NA should just gather 6 players and move to EU, rest disband/play cod on console
on a more serious note though, how bad can an entire region shit the bed at every tournament, i don't even have words about this shitfest of team shuffling, match fixing, personal vendettas and streaming all day

Actually that is quite valid Have you ever wondered why the best SC players are Koreans, alot of the best CS players are swedish? Structure is paramount

you just saying that oceania have more to play against as na xD
NiP not up to snuff - at least not in the early rounds of the tournament. not that it should matter in the short run with them having to fight against immunity next the way things look for now.

Actually, no they can't. Fnatic and nip have faced each other so many times that it all boils down to antistratting each other. I can assure you that fnatic has never watched a single teamliquid demo while I am 100% sure that teamliquid has studied fnatic immensely yet teamliquid put up 4 rounds in two maps. Those 4 rounds can be considered flukes considering how bad teamliquid appears to be. This roster needs to be cut completely and rebuilt. This daps guy has no business competing in csgo lan tournaments against top teams. I honestly think this team is doing TL's image more bad than good. CS is not a game like sc2 where you can keep players on your roster for years despite lacking results and still have a good image. In cs, if your shit, the community will let you know and basically ignore you except when you get embarrassed.

I don't think you need to cut your whole team after losing to the best team in the world really

Yeah tbh f0rest seems to be the most inconsistent member of NiP right now, just see him whiffing a lot of important/easy shots sometimes and he seems to choke the most during crucial matches lately. I really like him and he'd never leave NiP unless he left on his own volition so what can you do though.
Incredibly strong finish by VP there, I'm very impressed about their mental strength (in addition to their physical strength haha). They kicked into overdrive at the exact right time there at 12 : 7 in that important buy round and then just rolled.
2h of down time so far right? 2h30 maybe...internet still works at the venue, otherwise they wouldn't be able to stream. Has any info got out yet about what the issues are?

I think DDOS would be timed so that it happens whenever they're trying to play. Obviously no way to be sure, but the pattern doesn't seem like DDOS to me.

Who knows! Might just have been one attack and the other stream shutdowns could have been resets done by the tech people in order to confirm they're safe before starting the games.
But it's also not like somebody pushes a button and the target stream goes down that moment. A DDOS attack can take time to 'spin up' and there's also a certain span of time where the target infrastructure manages to still hold up before breaking down.
All speculation. If this doesn't start any minute, I'll have to pass as well (probably will only be able to see the first game anyways). They're losing EU viewers at this point which sucks.
On May 04 2015 06:13 iXphobos wrote: Wow, are they serious? WTF is this shit? Production anyone?
its always the problem they say "oh we fix it" etc but they not understand if its in the final its stupidly not working ... i made stream off now cause it makes no sense ...
find out ip 125k viewers (make it like mp3 download cost illegal counting) so they all would have seen an advert. so etc blabla and then the ddoser have to pay them like 100k xD
Edit: Also, the second round of this half when TSM lost the AWP, did anyone else see the CT player holding B from headshot with a Famas and think, "There's no way he can hold that"? Or am I just too jaded about the Famas?
