There's a reason that you shouldn't touch esea until you have some skill! right, those noobs don't deserve to play at better servers.

What if you get kicked and your team wins later? Does it count as a win? I recall someone saying that they got kicked during one of their placement matches and their team won, so it counted as a win towards one of the 10 placement matches. That was a while ago though. I read in a guide that if you get kicked you keep the ELO changes you got and that's it. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=312582297 The guide though is based on speculations and some of those dont make sense. Like the idea that the one who has highest ELO will lose points if he is not MVP. I also believe the bot also adds at least some of the ELO points, that K/A/D ratio does have some impact on ELO, and there is also nothing said about ELO certainty factor, that interferes with promotion/demotion and can lead to games between players of very different skill groups. But the guide's idea of how getting kicked is handled in terms of MMR makes perfect sense to me.

Especially since he wrote that being kicked will show the game as a loss, which is basically false from my own anecdotal evidence. + Show Spoiler + maybe it was at some point in time? Anyway, I think we can safely assume that ELO estimations are per round based. That provides a very easy way to cut the kicked player out from further estimations. On the other hand, I dont see any reasons to calculate ELO changes in different ways in two situations: for a team who got a player disced, and a player kicked. After all, making moral judgement of the players is not the goal of ELO ratings. So keeping the kicked/disced player in further estimations would greatly diminish the reliability of ELO changes for all parties involved.

The only thing we know for sure is that winning the game/rounds matters more than the kill ratio or mvp or whatever because somebody premade with a noob friend a while back and they played every game together on those accounts and after 50 games I think, they found out they were placed at almost the same ranks. But of course, Valve could have easily changed it in the mean time and everything else is pure speculation other than that winning games/rounds is good. I wouldn't trust that guide you posted especially since he asserts things like getting the MVP will get you more EO points and stuff like that as if they were facts instead of just pure speculation.

What kind of system is this? I paid a lot for this product, and yet I can only play 2-4 games a day for almost a week. Frustrating to say the least.

Now I paid full price for this product, and now the game tells me that I need to wait a whole 24 hours while they "calibrate" my skill group at competitive. And apparently it is once every 2 wins. After you win 10 games, you can play how many games you want.

Why do people want to kick after round 2? Pistolround lose and ecoround lose. And when they dont get their (stupid will), they start bitching, running only knife into large open areas and do all stuff you can do to annoy your team?

Some people just give up after they lose the pistol round. It's sad, but there's not a lot you can do about them.
