The player count actually went up overnight - a promising sign. Maybe we'll get a permanent playerbase after all. I don't think they should be charging more than sc2 @ current expansion
good point lol, should be 10~20$ at most, even though the cut scenes / graphics are amazing in the campaign.

Literally 1600% players compared to 3-4 days ago lmao

They could go from 5 players to 200, they would have 40x the playerbase and still have major issues
I still can't launch the game since the updates, IDK how to fix!

according to Steamspy, about 15k people (considering the standard deviation, could be more or less) bought the game, but that was only the first 24h of sales, not the full 48h
pretty good

Woohoo this is awesome, I had a lot of fun playing last night even though I lost alot, and probably going to stream more in a minute , just trying to adapt to this different type of RTS and the Goo race :D

Well, hopefully the game's playerbase becomes sustainable. At the very least, they've paid the bills for a few months now.

it survived the night without going below 500 on working day also, i say things are looking better, this week will be interesting thou

pretty good Looks like they had 70k buyers even before the sale, which is more than I expected. Maybe they ran out of money in January and needed that boost to stay afloat.

Streaming ladder for a few hours~ come watch!

Well, I just bought it for ~6,5$ (for once living in Russia has its bonuses). I don't get their pricing though - they sell single player 3 mission dlc for a price of a standalone indie game.

Maybe it'll be a free bonus again once it goes back to $50.
Not sure I'd pay $5 for 2-3 hours of entertainment.

OK, finally had a chance to play it and ended up just refunding it in 2 hours. Maybe I am spoiled by Starcraft, but the unit design is so incredibly boring. Every unit is just a slow-moving something that shoots some energy projectile. Sometimes it does AoE. Even the old C&C games had more personality.

I havent play in a few days, chart said the game stabilized at about 500-600 players, pretty good. the sales of the game pretty mouch double (from 60k before the sales to 110-120k)

Well, it improved from "one step from death" to "small playerbase." It'll be interesting to see if it has potential for growth. Personally, I have a hard time seeing any RTS achieving any form of greatness at this point. But it seems that the game did well enough to at least pay for itself.

It still bugs me how they screwed up on marketing for this game. The playerbase could be double or triple even but at release, no one knew about this game.

They also screwed up the pricing, $49,99 is a lot to ask for a new non-AAA franchise in the modern PC gaming market. It should've been something like $29,99.

People knew about it on release. It just failed to retain players because it got justifiably bad reviews for being a beta quality product pushed as a full release. That's fixed now, which let it grow at least a little bit.

I think honestly they need to speed the pace of the units / game, it is too slow to make for an exciting RTS in my opinion.
EDIT : I still have a lot of fun playing it, but at a competitive level...not really.
