It was the first I followed fully, I was 10yo and I knew everything about it, every player, every result... Spain played vs Italy on the Quarter finals, they were dominating against Italian catenaccio, tied 1-1. On a deadly counter Roberto Baggio managed to score the 2-1 for Italy. Then, the drama. Minute 93, Caminero crosses the ball to the box, Luis Enrique takes the possition over Tassotti and when he is going to head the ball, Tassotti hits him with his elbow and breaks his nose. The whole spanish team pursues the referee showing the evidence, Luis Enrique is bleeding with his nose broken. The referee panics and whistles the end of the match. Spain is out. Lately, FIFA punished Tassotti with 8 international matches ban, which ended with him retiring from the national team. This fact has been removed from USA 94 and world cup history.
