Pretty much the whole game was great. Two completely equal teams battling it out. I couldn't find any videos of the EC 1996 or WC 1990 ;(

Spain qualified to France'84 and placed 2nd. Lost 2-0 in the grandfinal against Platini's France with a bit bad luck, but that's another story... Btw, Malta's keeper makes now an ad in Spain Tv, they call him "the best friend ever"

(Sorry, I can't find a shorter version. I mean the second to last penalty) I was a kid and i thought that when I even think of what's gonna happen, we were gonna lose. So I left the TV and went to my room to distract myself. I switched on the radio and the first thing I here was: "...und Köpke hält!" ("and Köpke saves it!" ) Köpke was my hero! ^^

Ill never forget baggio's miss. It was the first world cup I was really in to, and we were rooting for italy so much. He had had such a fantasic tournament, but it ended soooo poorly... ---------------------------------- great, since mani already posted my 1st unforgettable moment, I'll post another one that is very unforgettable to me too: são paulo 3:2 milan, the 3rd goal of sao paulo, by Müller, he didn't even know where the ball was haha. quality is a big shit tho. [edit] hey mani thx, but my post was more like "now I get to show two unforgettable moments: mani's and this one from sao paulo", and not "shit he stole my moment"

Second is from the World Cup itself Stoichkov scores a fantastic freekick against the then world champions Germany in the quarters to make the score 1:1 after Lothar Matthäus scored a penalty. Third one is from the same game. Letchkov - the bald magician. We beat Germany 2:1 to face Italy in the semis only to be denied a place in the final by a pathetic FRENCH (see first video) referee who closed his eyes for not one, but two clear penalty kicks for handball in the penalty area.

searched youtube and there it is (goal nr. 5, the compilation itself is not that great and definitely not romarios top 20 goals) other memorable moments: hässler scoring the 2:1 against wales for germany to qualify for WC 90, matthäus goal against yugoslavia WC 90, klinsmanns performance against holland wc 90, semifinal germany:argentina WC06, kloses goal and lehman saving and so on, so many great moments involving the national team......

Point was against irrational rivalry and even hooliganism between certain clubs. It's in almost every major football country. The people in that video are more exited by the fact Barca is scoring against Madrid rather than they are about the players scoring beautiful goals.

I dont know what you understood from the commentators. They are getting into how messi is such a savior, I dont know if you watched that game, Madrid was always up by one goal, and messi equalized the game by himself. Of course there is going to be rivalry, is Real Madrid vs Barcelona. Super Clasico. There was no Hooliganism at all, all the fans got along and were safe, no fight, no riots, no injuries, no deaths. It was a safe enjoyment. I can sure tell your not a football fan from heart, maybe you dont take the game seriously as most of us do. Seeing Messi score a Hat-Trick in his 1st clasico at Barcelona is IMPRESSIVE. Do you know what it means to score in the most important game of the season?. It has such a good game, not only because of being a clasico, but because Real Madrid needed the points, Capello was on the line, and Barcelona were losing the championship. Messi saved Rijkaards Ass. and no, Rijkaard does have passion, not enough to my standards tho, I enjoy coaches like capello that scream, celebrate, feel the game. I hate coaches that when the players score a desecive goal the just sit there motionless, like it didnt matter, but I guess they look more professional but whatever. Goals are goals. Beautiful or not, what matters is that they are goal. an Ugly goal in a important match is way more important than a beautiful goal in a meaningless match.

This match was just fantastic. England score the first two goals and then Portugal comes back to win 3-2, with an absolute screamer from Figo. Then we went on to beat Germany 3-0 with our best players resting. Our golden generation at its best.

The awesome "GG Real" goal from Pavel Nedved (my favourite player of all time) that won him European player of the year, maybe the second best goal ive seen unfold before my eyes. As always fate deals for harsh blow for Nedved continues to receive a weak booking that suspends him from the final. Now that the Czechs have qualified for Euro 2008 as impossible as it is I pray for even the smallest chance he might make one final return...

Lately, FIFA punished Tassotti with 8 international matches ban, which ended with him retiring from the national team. This fact has been removed from USA 94 and world cup history. You can\'t find it in youtube, nor wikipedia, etc. I\'ve only found one video showing spanish drama from a recent TvShow before 2006 WC: http://www.dailymotion.com/related/2876529/video/x341yo_mundial-94-espana-vs-italia_sport
