As a streamer? Unless your big already your playing a lottery anyway. Either you will go big in the game and bring in viewers from that or your playing the 'be the first to stream new game X' and then you missed the boat and should have moved to game Y weeks ago.
A game where there are more than 15+ characters, with different weaknesses, and different maps. Yeah sure you should be able to catch up no problem. You and your "team" should be able to crank out your chemistry and strategy in no time. Taking on people who've been on the game for 5-6 months already shouldn't be TOO big of a disparity right? Like just practice Quake or UT and get your aim super super godly until your beta invite kicks in sometime before spring.

No pro gamer has ever done well in a game he didn't play since day 1 you know. That initial batch of players are the best players until they retire or the game gets shot down.
The gap is so big and no one ever in the history of e-sports has succeeded that was not a day 1 player.

How about this. Take the good players who got into the beta (or F&F like seagul) and lets see how they did against the established players (Blizz employees). They got stomped a bit for a week? and since then are going 50-50 last I heard.

With regards to streaming, i have a partnered stream and whilst some of the statements said are true (you need to be entertaining), it is woefully ignorant of how big an advantage you get from being the first to get onto a bandwagon. Smart streamers know this and regularly try to jump on new games and compete at as high a level as they can to attract viewers
Back when i streamed splatoon me and one other guy were the no 1 and 2 streamers on there and it's because we were smart enough to jump on the moment the game came out and stream high level gameplay every day from there on (whilst being entertaining etc.)
Even today if i jump on the game now, after having quit it for several months i still jump quickly to the no1/2 spot just because i put in that work early
Not to say that the lead that the current overwatch streamers have isn't insurmountable at all, it just gives them a big, big headstart.

If you think that the players who get into the closed beta will be the best players 8 months after the game comes out, I'd have to think you've never played FPS games at a high level before. I've never seen that happen. The best FPS players in general will relatively quickly become the best overwatch players regardless of when they start.

You already made 6-7 posts in this thread that you're bored of the game and that the game needs more modes, your first post was after 2 days of getting into beta. An extra game mode wont really make much difference for you, probably prolong your playtime for a week at most before you get bored and complain the game need more content again.
I think the game just isn't for you, there has been people playing it 12 hours a day since beta release and still cant get enough.

Because the current game mode is just total shit. I don't know how you can defend blizzard for going into beta with ONE single mode, one which isn't even compelling due to a lot of little problems with it.
We have 21 mostly fun and unique heroes, how hard can it be to give them room and thus create a fun experience?
Blizzard is just really, really bad with betas, it's not even funny.
And when i read these answers for why there is no capture the flag, like srsly blizzard?
The game mechanics itself are mostly fun though.
I can understand that you don't wanna read me only complaining though, but there isn't really a lot of conversation here to begin with.

(capture the flag not in the game due to tracer, there are so many possibilites how you could make it work regardless...)

The point is that i like the actual game mechanics, the current experience is just EXTREMELY repetitive due to the game mode (and yes i don't think that the two little variations should count as two modes.. especially because it is mostly a combination of both per map)
I also don't think that there are only like 4 beta players in this forum, people simply lost interest in the game (you can see it on twitch too)
But yeah i guess nobody feels the need to discuss any problems of the game anywhere (and no i am not talking about "bastion op" , even though that will be a problem for solo queue and low lvl players for sure)
This will be just like heroes, nobody will give a damn after release...

I think u just expect way too much from a game thats so young, i dont know about ur other beta experiences but atleast for me having this much content for a game thats still in its early beta seems reasonable. After all they are not even using same characters from the other Blizzard games, they are creating whole new characters (and maps obviously).
Stop rushing things and enjoy what u have already.

I am pretty sure you need to provide criticism to the developer, not to a bunch of random forum users. Unless you are saying all this hoping that Blizzard will happen to read it.
And you are not really discussing the problems with the game. That would be: "Guys, I'm kinda tired of the modes, are other people having fun with them still?" You are declaring your views in the hopes people respond. Which is fine, if you hadn't done it 12 times before this with the exact same opinion. At this point you are just shouting on someones law and then becoming upset when people ask you to stop.

Don't tell people that Heroes isn't "Dead game", they have confirmed their own opinion and now it is fact in their reality.

Like I said, if u got bored and feel the game is repetitive after a few days of playing the game just isn't for you, nothing wrong with that, but a few more game modes wont change much for you, its probably just not your sort of game.
The drop in twitch numbers doesn't mean much either, just because you lost interest doesn't mean other people have, people was just really hyped to see what the gameplay was like hence why 200k+ viewers when beta was released, now its dropped a lot but that's to be expected as there is still really few people that can actually play and stream, everyone is just waiting to play the game themselves.
Also predicting the future of the game and comparing it to Hots release is just another dumb baseless assumption(even though there is still plenty of people that are interested in Hots).
