need to know interaction between account wide transmog and challenge mode gear weps armor i hope i didnt waste all my time getting it on 4 toons and then some people just buy it all on 1 char and huehueheu it up

Yeah me too. I don't know my future main and i'm not going to run all of the CM's 11 times only to be playing a demon hunter which doesn't have any weapon from it

So challenge mode gear is just for transmog or any other gear reason for doing it?

It's just for transmog. There was a quest which gave 640 gear at the start of the expansion (when the max otherwise was mostly ~630 + some BoE's). This was going to be boosted to like 660, 680 ilvl but it never was, it was either bugged or removed from the game which is really unfortunate IMO - that's why i got into challenge modes.

Was never bothered with it. Reasons being that I never had a group, Mistweaver kinda sucks in 5 man groups and most importantly I was too lazy to keep extra gear for it since my raid gear is just terrible for it.
Off-season = best season

I've just kept gear that i already got, mainly. Timewalking and baleful items alone have given me half a dozen items with only the best stat on them, rest i've got 1'st+2'nd best

I got into CMs for the speedrun aspect then I realized this was a Blizzard game and they can't do leaderboards like a sensible person so CM leaderboards will forever be a joke. Which is a shame considering how much potential there was there but not having them reset after every hot fix / patch is a little stupid coming from a speedrun background.

Yeah when they change the instance to make jump tricks impossible it kinda breaks them. When they introduce new gear allowed, scaled or not - such as the gear from baleful/timewalking that people will roll entirely into 1 stat or the Mirror of the Blademaster.. I went back into CM's after a while and was doing like 20-30% more damage from gear alone

wowprogress didn't update us for ages, maybe they are having some problems recently. They also say that we were in combat with Gorefiend for 23 hours

Dont know if it matters too much, but this hunter moves a TON in the fight. Took a lot of extra damage when he didn't need to on the outside. Felt like he could have been less running around at times and handled stuff better to keep up his sniper training to do more damage.

I don't know if you guys have assigned spots in the fight but a lot of your ranged was running needlessly when they were not focused by hunger for life.

Grats on the kill though! Good luck on the next bosses I hear they are somewhat easier than Gorefiend =D.

We do roughly. And Jaxx is usually beating most people on DPS while calling/tracking a lot of stuff that other people should be doing. Any specific examples for the ranged thing?

Half of our ranged are hunters, all are inside at some point. We have ~42-56% uptime on sniper training - i knew it would be beyond terrible because of the movement, but i was thinking more like 70%. It could be raised a lot with focusing on it but you'd still run around a lot on gorefiend.

Two of us have ~55% uptime on sniper training, yet ~82'nd percentile log on the first kill. Just looking around, there are guys in the top 100 of the logs with similar or less uptime, a ton of people with around there and then there are those who obviously focused on it and got like 75% - maybe even people who are not sacrificing to go inside, or the kill is handled fine and they can just stand there

I googled a little to check that stuff and actually found a ton of really useful functions on the logs. I had no idea the t18 2p was giving me that much uptime on Rapid Fire (over 9% on gorefiend in a 9 minute fight) even though i have a weakaura to show when it's up. I'l be checking actual uptimes for sniper training on a ton of fights now. I'm sure stuff is really bad sometimes but it will improve!

Yeah he's tanking stuff while DC'd too

we'd all had enough "WIPE IT WIPE IT JUMP IN THE WATER" for one week :D

He's tanking the spirit and then the boss for ages LOL (21 seconds between the other tank getting put in stomach and him coming back online)

205-215 again running around when he doesn't have to. Jaxx almost dies actually because of people running in range of him and the aoe shadow explosion.

445-500 This was a really good spot where it looked like everyone was comfortable and didn't move outside of the person with the add on them. Also right at the end someone runs right next to him and makes him take like 300k damage.

720-735 He runs from blue to star, to then just run back to blue. Could have saved some movement by side stepping the one thing he was avoiding.

This is just a few but overall as you get more kills this gets better and better. Really awesome job to get the kill with a DC =).

Yeah that happens. It's actually very few people taking the damage from that AOE's regularly, mainly the shaman healers but one of them left and the other will improve on it. Jaxx is aware that he is sometimes just standing there watching people sometimes

Also right at the end someone runs right next to him and makes him take like 300k damage.


Hits of that magnitude happen a few times because Touch of Doom does up to ~260k damage depending on how close you are to it, with huge range. 3 of them happen at the same time, so they can project a 300k hit a good fraction of the way across the room if they're all in similar places. It's good to have people move away or use a few light personal cooldowns as the touch of dooms will drop but that's not one of the higher priorities in the fight. There's so much optimization to do which is good and bad at the same time, but having people not take 5-10 hits of the swirly AOE in one fight should be fixed very soon because it's important and randomly taking a hit for over half of your HP that's avoidable 95% of the time is bad, a single instance of bad luck/timing with other damage can wipe the fight because a healer did that

Crazy drop. If you value the avoidance as 0 then a mythic warforged mannoroth bow would be a slight upgrade.. but i've got this thing til artifact :D

Warforged socketed and ~9.5% avoidance. I take ~1.23x less damage from AOE and that's actually very significant in several mythic fights

Nelf racial still really buggy since i started playing nelf again at 6.1 release (i don't know how long before) and robbing me of 1% crit a lot of the time where it should be up, it bounces between haste and crit seemingly at random when you walk into the garrison or into another part of tanaan or respawn even though the server time hasn't changed.
