Most of the 50k dps stuff you see is against stuff like this, healer going dps and burning boss really fast with somekind of buff and then just all cds, pots, foods etc. +22k is doable though just single target for the top specs. Just did Auch with a good hunter around i640, without bloodlust they did 30.6k on the first boss (dead in ~50 seconds iirc) Honestly aside from the 3rd boss there isnt any movement/much of anything required on most of the Auch fights, so id hope they would do really good dps. Esp Teron'Gor, you just pop lust and ignore everything and kill him super easy

I haven't stepped into the CM's yet. Cyro, how do they compare to Wildstar's dungeons?

Gold modes are jsut done entirely different compared to silver and bronze. The boss fights are the easy part, the hard part are the trash mobs. For gold you need to pull multiple groups at once and time cooldowns, stuns, kicks and ccs while you pull and fight. Also invis potions. In ubrs you can skip everything after the dragon boss, or the room before the arena. In everbloom there are few shortcuts and you can skip quite a few mobs. Im not familiar with the other dungeons, but yeah, basically gold mode revolves around having the optimal dds (mostly hunter warlock mage, because fuck melee and fuck hybrid classes).

You need to kill an X amount of mobs to complete the challenge though but yeah, the optimized groups usually don't include melee since they take a lot of residual dmg from bosses/mobs that ranged don't while doing equal or better dps.

Yea gold modes are ridiculous. There was a guild that got all gold, but were abusing some paladin bug to do so, and blizz made a post about it.

Current guild I'm on has completed most CM on gold with server best time. It's not that difficult, just a lot of time consuming things to do and plan out. Not to mention you need the best gear possible to have a chance.

Harder and impossible to overgear, i've tried four PUG's (three with voice chat) and spent 5 hours in one yet never cleared any of them without a guild group who had already done it before.. and that's just for the daily quests, not getting started on medals. Stuff won't be as crazily impossible when people in PUG's learn what to do, but i don't have much faith in that happening soon (especially with poor communication, because the guild runs i was in are just constant chat about movement, CC X, Y, Z, interrupting whatever, "i popped X cooldown" etc because if people can't hit bronze/silver timer, they're trying to learn how to hit it in the future)
Lots of annoying stuff. First boss of UBRS there are the huge static orbs that you have to avoid, and they kill you in three ticks (i think 1.5 seconds) if they hit you. If you're not out of the way, you're probably not able to get out of the way. Next boss, there is the boss and 2 adds - they hit hard enough that i had one pull where the tank ran in, the boss and two adds melee swung at him and he dropped 100-0 in the first half second of the fight and died.
The more you know what you're doing and the more experience and skill you have, the more stuff kinda falls into place and doesn't seem difficult at all, but some of them are just a lot harder to pass than any wildstar veteran with strangers. It's worse because you can't actually replace group members i think, you have to take the same group start to finish and if anyone leaves, you have to quit. With runs that go poorly extending up to 3 to 5+ hours, your chance of holding onto even guildies drops a lot
WOD HC's at item level 600-610 remind me of Wildstar veteran 5 man difficult a lot.. but gear scaling is much bigger in WoW than in Wildstar (In WS, you ding 50, get crafted gear, then your DPS improves like 20-30% going to full raid gear pre drop 3+4.. in WoW, you ding max level and then your damage doubles between dinging and i640 before you even go into a normal mode raid) so by the time you're geared from the 5 mans, ring quest + extras, that difficulty level just isn't there any more on HC
You also have to consider that they're tuned for a game where a 5 man group can carry at least 2 instant combat resses that reset cooldown every time you pull a boss, so they can afford to make people die horribly a lot more often than Wildstar could without making the encounters unplayable (no respawn until fight is over)
There's also a lot of difficulty that's just different, like in Wildstar there are lots of 1.5 second casts that you have to interrupt with multiple abilities or coordinate interrupts more for, there are mechanics like the disorient, there is more emphasis on managing movement with sprinting, rolling and dash/jump abilities on everyone, but it lacks some other stuff: In WS, if you have 3 targets with 100k HP, they die just as fast as 1 target with 100k HP - for Warriors, anyway. There's very little crowd control (mostly centered around interrupt armor, then knock down or move your target) while WoW puts a lot of emphasis on focus fire and coordinating CC effectively. Threat is basically gone which is disappointing - my friend and i can both go all out on the same target, and after 30 seconds he has like 8x my threat. Sad that they removed that since it was more of a thing in the other expansions i played (Classic, TBC, WOTLK, Cata)

Wasn't that Method? link to post please~
Since they desperately wanted tanks (they had no tanks ready to raid as of like three days ago) and talked + played with my friend, we considered applying there, but a biit too hardcore i think

Your leveling pace is probably slower than mine was when the server had 3 second ping for two days and people were flooding out the zones :D
enjoy the story~
The moment CM resets, there's a huge flood of i640 people with bronze+ achievements looking for group, pretty awesome. It's probably easier to do it that way than to form a group 12-17 hours after the reset (2-7pm uk) relying on only the people who have not yet managed to run it

My best CMs have been using the dungeon finder tool. Just be selective on whom you invite and you'll have smooth sailing. Check their armory for past CMs / current CM times. Most CMs should be <1hr, and if you get lucky with something like grimrail, you can be done in 25minutes.

I like being on a empty server. My spriest has been lady of blackrock for almost a week now with a Silver CM time.

Barely missed silver grimrail with 2 PUG's, probably would have got it if we pushed for it from the start, so i think there is just a huge difference in difficulty between all 10k dps with bad communication, vs a full group of 18k who know what to do and have bronze-silvered the content before. Dead boss can't really be very difficult

I counted with the statistics tab. If a boss drops both a 1h and a 2h weapon, i counted that as 2 chances
i failed 57 chances - in a row - to get a weapon drop from a heroic dungeon. I'm really, really curious what the actual chances are by this point - one of my trinkets was awkward to get, but i have like 2-3 pieces of every armor slot and i've vendored a lot of duplicates on top of that
Meanwhile i did hand in CM daily before and get socketed ring, then next time i handed it in i got warforged socketed legs, so maybe all of my luck is going there
my luck is really weird elsewhere too - i've got 146 armor upgrade levels for my followers, but only 27 weapon. That's a 5.4:1 ratio, but my friend has something like 3:1 weapons:armor so i don't think armor droprate is really high. I got the war mill level 2 and gave it 200 garrison resources but it didn't spit out any weapon or armor upgrades at all from the first ~120 of those yet

i dont like the loot system they use in this expac at all personally

I like it but sometimes it feels like..
They have bosses that drop legs, boots and weapon. But there will be like 5 legs, 5 boots and 1 weapon that can potentially drop, because there's so many stat variations on the pieces that are not weapon/trinket
If you pass 20% chance to get loot, you then have like a 1 in 11 chance to get the weapon from that boss only.. so it's 1 in 55. I have no idea if it actually works that way, but it feels like it
Bought crafted wep just now, got crit/haste - rerolled it, crit haste, rerolled it again, crit haste (at that point i was a little anxious..) but then i got mastery multistrike on the next reroll, so that's nice :D

There's so many quests in Nagrand! It's almost overwhelming :p

Super nice if you have the war mill (double chance for your quest items to upgrade, which makes them 615/630 instead of 600)
i increased my simulated 2h frost dps (self buff, no pots/flask/food) against 1 target from 14,369 this morning (100%)
to 15,075 (104.9%) with an adjustment to spec
to 16756 (116.6%) with new weapon and legs
will sim unholy in the morning - i like these numbers
