But the Raids in LK was just fucking awesome, hell it gave us the LK fight which imo is the best end game boss to date and everyones favorite Ulduar! That is why it is voted the best i think

And really, it's quite evil that I can't post on the official forums just because I'm out of game time. I guess 5+ years of monthly payments wasn't enough to give me access for life? In any case, I do like the titans but I never quite understand the point of marrying science fiction and high fantasy. I think the consoles with advanced programming that you can find near titan structures don't match very well with the idea of Olympian Gods that smite demons with hammers. I mean, I've asked this question for Starcraft as well: Amon is a Xel Naga scientist, what personal power does he have? Or, why is Kerrigan seeking personal power at Zerus when she needs an actual army to invade a planet? With the titans you could ask how it matches up to have all this advanced science, but then still require a titan warrior to do battle with an old god using a sword. It just feels uneasy to me...

I checked there just now for the first time since like three years and the forum seems quite dead, with just a few active threads. Did they move all discussion to be behind a subscription wall or something? Or maybe they simply ran out of topics to discuss? Prolly the same reason, despite the fact they have space travel and lazers in Warhammer, they still flay each other to pieces with swords and their bare hands, cause its fucking cool.

I think it's because a race of advanced beings seeding planets with life is a science fiction concept, but since they were initially based on Olympian gods it ended up feeling mismatched to me. So when in WoW they had to do more than just the occasional reference to the titans in the manual they chose the science fiction route. I do like the new version of the titans, actually, but it is a bit weird and retconnish in parts.

I am the kind of person that enjoys doing Shadow Labyrinth on heroic while undergeared, and I don't think people should have an expectation of completing an instance without demonstrating some level of competence, but of course this is an unpopular opinion and many players felt that by paying for the game it better cater to them. This! Heroic dungeons were so much fun when they still required brains. And the key quest lines actually making you run the hard ones. Also kael'thas is by far the best raid boss I ever fought.

To be fair, i thought LK was a great fight too. I never did Illidan, KJ or Deathwing though ![]()

I was so relieved to eventually complete SSC and enjoy the content, that instance was like the nemesis of my childhood.

I do agree that it makes travelling very trivial. I personally don't mind flying mounts being limited a bit. Plus i have portals, so no fucks given ![]()

It was bullshit every time I would go pick a fight and they would jump on their stupid little PvE clouds and fly off. No. World PvP died with bg's because there was no reason to go and fight in the wild. everything else is people running into each other while questing and that still exists.

Im not saying flying mounts were THE cause of world PvP death. But you are being silly if you dont think they helped it along to its grave. And yes, world PvP was a "thing". You must not have hung out in Southshore/Tarren Mill pre-BG's?
