You aren't doing anything without a max skilled Sandalphon, sure, but I assure you that L Meta is fully capable of clearing just about anything in the game. She's also one of best bind clearing subs in the game, especially for l kali. Her bind resistance means that if you save hearts you clear any and all binds you'll ever get hit with if you prep and her active is up every 6 Turns. There are many creatures you can waste a 297 on but l meta is simply not one of them. If you run L Kali in particular she's amazing. Also she farms alt dungeons and other content casually well. You're probably the first person I've seen ever call l meta a subpar sub  Granted I put a lot of effort into making Lmeta clear everything but she can do it. This means more on NA than JP though. JP just has more options and such. There aren't alot of options better than l meta to function as your water portion for kali active in NA though. Ceres is a wasted color and Metatron has better awakenings than Isis. I also see no point in using hathor if you have a kali. If your dungeon ceiling is your concern L Kali can do everything that Hathor can and some things that she'd struggle with. This is even more evident when you take into account that kali has an ult. My opinion anyway.
As I said already, if you can use hikari really well, she is no doubt better than hathor, but otherwise hathor with hikari sub is the most stable usage combination of hathor / hikari / lmeta. And if you going full hikari, there are better choices to + than lmeta, like fuma sq another kali or even indra when 2nd uevo comes to NA. As for lmeta for c10, it's more of a if you throw enough + at it, a lot stuff can work.

Any non-dark heavy spike lineups can clear sandalphon. A ra-type active or a delay is good to handle Wood Dominion Michael reliably.

Thanks for the help! You are correct it was Green Zhuge and Red Sonia. By learning curve do you mean the ability to get the leadership bonus to activate consistently? Ive been rerolling a lot the last few weeks in my spare time so I've had a bit of practive at getting decent chains going, still only seen the early content though so its hard to know what I dont yet know

The biggest problem with Sandalphon us the fact that it's a no dupe dungeon so typical 25x teams aren't even allowed unless you have an extra un evod version of your main. I was lucky enough to pull chibi meta so that's what I used.
The dungeon itself is really easy though. Most teams would smash it if not for the dupe thing.
Also the big thing to remember for those people going into late game dungeons is that teams can get weird. Naturally a card like Fuma is amazing for Kali on paper but you might not even have space for him because you need a lot more utility on your teams as you go up the difficulty chain. You might not think to use dark izanami or something but suddenly that card becomes staple. It's only for this reason I wouldn't immediately plus a Fuma because you probably wouldn't be using him all the time. L Meta has been a staple in my Kali teams though.
Anyway by the time you're tackling level 9s and 10s your boxes are more rounded out anyway so you have that dupe kali or sun quan or whatever else.

Plus eggs are a requirement in the upper tier dungeons though. I mean a zero plus egg L Kali is going to be hard pressed to complete all the upper dungeons too. Plus eggs are what drive a team up to the HP, RCV, and Damage limits you need to be successful. I think the argument here is whether L Meta requires more plus eggs to do the things that L Kali can do.
In that you're probably right. I completed Hera Rush (by far the hardest dungeon to do with my L Meta) with a 297 Meta a 151 DQXQ, and a 65 Sandalphon. That's not really TOO bad honestly but L Kali can probably do it with just a 297 leader. That said L Kali suffers pretty harshly on the HP side of things if you don't plus egg her teams. I don't think "throwing +'s " at the problem really counts unless your entire team needs to be 297'd for it to even stand a chance. L Meta is quite a bit more powerful than it seems at first glance I think. She starts hitting 30k HP with about 130 HP Plus Eggs on the team which isn't a draconian requirement and then gets like 7k RCV with that HP. HP eggs were really well on meta teams though because of her leader skill.

As a umiyama user, I just used non-Uevo umiyama friends, the no dupe requirement isn't much of an issue. RL horus works with everything.

Yep. 0/10 now. 7/10 green though lol. Will do the majority of stoning tonight once I get home so hopefully my luck will have changed. Ideally I want 20 red fruits before I start feeding.. I think I have 9 stored atm so that's only 11 to farm. Going 0/10 isn't a huge deal in the long term.
Also need them dragon flowers anyway. 20 red fairies, and I only have 5 flowers lol.

well it isn't the feeding 5 at a time i like, but if I fed as I obtained drops, every non skill up feels much more painful.

1/8 on Echidna skillups so far. That doesn't sound so bad, I guess, but considering it's a x2.5 event and I've been running it all day, with a timed level up, it's pretty annoying.
Having said that, I very very rarely use Echidna anyway. It's just that having a max-skilled Echidna is one of those things that is 'handy to have'.

had enough for 10 roll on the rare evo material pal machine and rolled. got 9 gold eggs, 6 stars were blue jewel blue sacred mask, blue fruit, red fruit. fed red fruit to sonia and got a skill up!
