You get this many viewers because the action is much more condensed. A sc2 event is much longer and slow paced.
Agreed, less time invested and much more action per minute.

EVO is like, the only big event for Fighting games. Most other majors get between 5k and 25k depending on the game being played at the time.
SC2 is oversatured for something like this.

This is the biggest event in the FGC, it combines a ton of games, and I'd imagine the fans of the other games are watching. So I don't think an sc2 tournament will easily be able to do this. Maybe the Grand Finals of WCS if they don't fuck up the hours.

How many viewers did TI2 for dota2 get?

500k I think with chinese viewers

seems like the Ice Climbers duo relies too much on the gimmick of that throw infinite although Wobbles did get to Grand Finals with it

Didn't the first Dota 2 The Defense have like 2 million concurrent viewers? The one that was essentially the unveiling of the game.

I feel like Mango has wobblez's game figured out.
As long as he doesn't get grabbed Wobblez can't keep up with him stock for stock.
He's taking aerial risks that Fox normally wouldn't need to take just to avoid getting chain grabbed. It's smart.

We should just start to accept that LoL and DotA are another tiers of competition really. =d

Yeah, ice climbers seems to be a high risk reward character. Together, they are like an A-S class character, but alone its like a C class.

Well anticlimactic final. This is why Ice climbers is mid tier and wobbling is allowed. You can play well enough to escape Ice Climbers gimmicks and this is Mango.

Mango's movement is too smooth.

uhh 2million concurrent is a little exaggerated, don't you think? I don't remember JoinDota ever releasing a number anyway
according to valve TI2 had 567k

Honestly, it's more comparable to a Shootmania (or something) player looking at the guys surrounding him, thinking his game is much bigger than it is, and claiming that they should be spoken of in the same breath as Quake without knowing the history of Quake.
Even with the game being as old as it is, it's competitive history is tiny compared to the 'the traditional fighting game community'. It's your classic strong headed young guy trying to get respect from the old guard and flailing about when they don't want to freely give it.
Smash Bros has the advantage of having the young youtube generation behind it though. Read into that however you will.
