lol 50 people cant be right... im not annoying you guys are just all conspiring against me. Ya man thats how TL works... we always agree on everything 100% of the time... we never argue. We actually have secret meetings to discuss how we feel about newcomers... lmao nope. turns out every1 just finds you annoying separately =/ | ||

The very reason that there isn't one is proof enough that this game is decent, even in its buggy alpha state with no weapons and zombies. Edit2: Yes, I meant it when I said erotic. Sc2 is my old flame that I visit now and then, but quickly get disappointed when I realize she's not that good in bed. Dota2 is my S&M loving wife. Its painful every time..but I keep coming back for more because she knows I like it. Dayz is this girl who keeps getting prettier and prettier, and I can do her for hours and hours at end, sometimes all night. She just got a complete makeover, and she's not as good as she was because of it, but I can still do her for hours. LoL is my ex that just wont shut up about how many people she's doing. I hate that bitch. Simple question. Why do I need to play it in order to say it is full of bugs? Does watching a stream and seeing the bugs vs playing the game and seeing the bugs make a difference? I don't think so. | ||

Would read again and yeah you should stop arguing, seraphdd has a point in that the SA has less content and is buggy, but you could argue that ambiance, graphics, and atmosphere wise it's awesome, and also that they are working a lot on it, and the price will probably go up (I think that's what they meant by minecraft price model), so buying it now has it's pros too. But 2 pages of arguing are maybe too much :p | ||

Its plastered all over every buy button you can find. The question is wether these bugs are game breaking or if they make the game not fun. This you can't possibly answer without having tried it. For the record, they're not. I've had a lot of bugs happen to me. At one point I clicked Tab to find out I had lost my entire backpack, and retracing my steps to see if I had accidentally tossed it off me didn't yield anything. Theres also this bug that tends to empty my magazines and throw away the bullets. And if you reload without space in your inventory, the entire clip goes byebye.. And yet I can sit here and tell you that if you had any interest in the mod, this game is fun. You can't possibly know that seeing as you haven't played it. Thats why you can't tell anyone else if they should buy it, because you simply don't know. And you CERTAINLY can't start trash talking people who then tell you that you're wrong. | ||

What we would argue with however is the fact that he accuses the dev's of being dishonest and scamming people. I don't think Rocket could have been any more ethical in the way he released the alpha, it is plastered everywhere to expect bugs and he has done very little to hype it up (i.e just releasing it on steam with no warning). Each time you load the game you have to click a box that tells you that it is very early alpha- it is impossible to miss. It is also plastered on the page when you purchase it off steam, I can only speak for myself but I find the alpha runs fairly well, is fun, has new features none of the mods have and has a large potential further down the development line. What made the mod fun was the realism and the uniqueness of a first person shooter/survival sim- the new features will only add to the realism and the devs have already done 3-4 updates since release. By all means if your expecting a game that is greatly superior to the mod then do not buy it yet, but to suggest it is a rip off and no fun without playing it at all is disingenuous. The alpha as it stands is very playable and enjoyable for most. | ||

As far as I have seen, the only object really affected by this are sights on weapons. They range from fine to cracked to completely useless depending on the state. Also things like matchbooks will have more matches in them if they are of better condition. But otherwise I can't find any difference between "ruined" and "pristine" food cans, or any kind of ruined of pristine clothes or medical equipment. | ||

Hmm a friend had problems using ruined medical equipment, I think it was disinfecting stuff that turned out to make him sick. As said above the weapon scoped are broken when not in a good state (the broken glass looks amazing by the way, as do scopes in general), and axes may do less damage? but not sure about the last. edit : oh, also had a gun that wouldn't work at all. I just got killed by a guy with an axe while i was browing my inventory thinking my friend had me covered, and he hit me in the chest, where the gun was holstered. It wouldn't work at all after, and when I picked up a new one it was fine. So even though there isn't a durability noted on weapons, it seems to work anyway. | ||

I'm considering playing the mod some more, even though going back to that inventory system is painful, simply because not enough is going on. Once they add more gear and vehicles and such I think the standalone will begin to get a lot more fun, but currently the alpha version of the game is what it is: an alpha version meant for testing. | ||
