Nevery played it online, but playing Battlefront splitscreen on ps2 was one of the best things ever. Great game imo, not sure how different the new one will be. Piloting a a t-47 glider on Hoth with your friend in the back, trying to bring an AT-AT down by wrapping the cable around his legs, was so freaking epic ![]() The settings and maps in battlefront were always great. The difference to other shooters was mostly that this is third person instead of first person and the maps and wars were huge. Very different classes and lots of vehicles made the game even better, hell you could even play as a droideka. Back then it was great, not sure about the new one. Played this map non stop back then.

Battlefront 2 was the first shooter I played where you were one little dude in an entire army instead of the sole hero. I kinda like that theme.

I loved bf2 compared to all other shooters. No shitty too much weapons. Assault guy, rocket guy, sharpshooter, engineer all had same weapons compared to enemies. And all special classes were pretty unique. Maps were really different from each other. Like man, there is really small maps like tantive iv and death star and then there is huge maps like hoth, endor and geonosis. Alot of different vehicles. At that time bf2 had more game modes than any (fps)game I think. 1 flag ctf, 2 flag ctf, conquest, hunt, hero assault and space assault. But swbf2 was also full of bugs. Every map had several bugs, dark troopers weapon could be tricked to shoot fast 2 or 3 times (****ing imba) I actually enjoyed map glitches alot. It was really interesting to find them and when you finaly found your way inside house or something that feeling was awesome ![]() Third person view is something that made swbf2 just fantastic game. Many top players used 1st person mode to shoot and third person to move. I use always third person. Also I can't forget mod scene. Just check filefront. There are still hundreds of maps and mods even tho alot has been removed or deleted for some reason. I used to have at least 50 custom maps installed all the time. Just writing this made me so much want to play swbf2. I havent touched game for couple of months now ![]() Btw, is here somebody still playing swbf2 like me? Gamespy closing was pretty HARD hit to online scene. Before that servers had about 200-100 players playing at the same time daily. Never had to go to emply servers. We could play land battles as I dont belive you want to challange me in space battles ![]() ![]() swbf2 is just simply the best game ever made. Might be nostalgia ![]()

Okay well that's just outright killed any interest I had whatsoever. Half the fun of Battlefront was the fact you were one guy in a army and there was a great big battle going on around you. Its part of why I like Titanfall, despite its flaws. If your "army" is now reduced to just the 19 other people on your team then screw it I'm not interested.

no prequel? i may be alone on this but i loved prequel battles, i thought the tight and clean clones vs the robotic separatists always made much more sense than the ragtag rebel fleet holding up vs 30 i class star destroyers at the battle of endor.. the fact that normal rebel pilots were more skilled and more heavily outfitted than imperial pilots based out of the death star and flagship imperial cruisers was always ridiculous (sans force users like luke), it's like saying that an ace out of Yemen would outpilot an American Ace in an F35 (only the analogy is ever more ridiculous because the US is only like 1000x the size of Yemen, where as the empire is 100000x bigger than the rebels). Clone wars made much more sense on a logistical basis than the original films. I'm sad to see them go

You say that but most of you people will end up getting it. The amount of anger over this is kind of hilarious lol. I reserve judgement until I see actual gameplay. Of course I won't lie I know i'll be getting this game 99.9%, only way I don't is well the actual gameplay would have to be really really horrific.
