Of course you also had that surveillance pretty much everywhere else, but being watched in your living room by a box under your TV does sound suspiciously similar.

Oh sorry they aren't watching EVERY part of your life, they're just visually and audibly recording your life in respect to what entertainment you watch and play and what social interactions go on in your living room and then selling that data to other companies. That makes it okay, you know, since it's not the government! I think people need to get the cotton out of your ears. I'm sorry but video games have kind of tainted your perspective on the future. Improved technology =/= Inherently good. Especially when that involves intentional breaches of privacy on such a ludicrous level as this. It IS a cool technology, but we can have motion controls for our video games without all this other bullshit. I wasn't aware they had announced their plans for used game sales yet. Well maybe you should go inform yourself then. If you want to play a used game you have to pay a fee. A fee that means the full price of the game.

Yet im sure you'll all go buy the brand new Iphone 6 which is totally different from the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, without even questioning how much shit was removed or not even part of the phone anymore.

Considering I was using a Nokia since I got a phone to '09, and was using one those baller as fuck slide phones with the physical keyboard from then til' January of this year and only recently got some form of Android smart phone that my brother bought for me and don't intend to buy another phone for 4-5 years because of how well this thing works for me, I say that is actually quite a ridiculous assumption to make!

A lot of people do that, sure, but you're on one of the sites on the internet where people care about what goes into the tech they're buying. Trust me, not everyone (ESPECIALLY not here on TL) is an iDrone. Please don't just call out those assumptions.

How do you know their prices and policies when Microsoft has said repeatedly that they have not released anything beyond used games will be possible? You're part of the problem spreading rumors and conspiracies. The intention is to get a cut from resellers for developers/publishers not fuck over buyers. Stop putting up rumors as if they're fact. http://majornelson.com/2013/05/21/xbox-one-and-used-games/ http://majornelson.com/2013/05/24/xbox-one-and-used-games-2/

SOPA. CISPA. FBI is already demanding that backdoors should be installed in all software. The list goes on, it's only a matter of time. 2) When it's always on and in your living room, it will see all parts of your life (when you are in-house).

He may be extrapolating off of rumors, but Microsoft brought it on themselves with this PR nightmare. I hope the thing tanks like no console has before, but I know it won't. All we can hope for is the PS4 takes firm control of market share.

That has nothing to do with my previous post though.

I used a phone I got on my birthday for 4 years until I got another phone on my birthday until last year when I got a Sony Xperia Pro from my dad because he bought a new phone and had no longer an use for one so hmm... I doubt I'll buy an iphone 6. I won't buy an Xbox one either, for the record. PS4 all the way in the case that console gaming will be relevant. Wii U if the new SSB will be good.

The game only has no fee if you're logged into your original account and have the disc. That is all that's confirmed. More confusing information has emerged out of interviews after the reveal event. Kotaku spoke with corporate vice president Phil Harrison, who told the site that users will be able to trade games online. He also indicated that the rumored "used game fee" would be equivalent to the full retail price of the game. Additionally, Microsoft seems to be emphasizing the ability to take your games to a friends' house, while stressing that you'll need to be logged into your own account to access your games. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/05/21/microsoft-confirms-used-game-fees-and-mandatory-game-installation.aspx

What? All I have said is you're wrong spreading rumors as fact. Now you're just posting random links trying to basically strawman me. I never said fees are fake. Only claiming to know how much fees are is bull.

I feel dissapointed that xbox is doing this all included thing. I will never need kinect for my kind of gaming. But the big question is if I am going to get PS4 or XboxOne. Depending on what my friends want and of course on ps4's reveal

I never put any words in your mouth. Do you know what Strawman means? You said I'm spreading rumors as fact and I dont know how the pricing structure for used games work. I just posted a link saying an interview with the Vice President of Corporate of Microsoft saying how the pricing structure of used games for the XBox One will work. The guy outright says the fee is the full price of the game. Only claiming to know how much fees are is bull. He also indicated that the rumored "used game fee" would be equivalent to the full retail price of the game.
