![]() Now I just wish i could play on ravenous, but I'm already mid 30's + i've claimed a bunch of things (preorder bonuses etc) to this guy and reaaalllyyy don't want to have to reroll >.> Anyone know if hazak -> ravenous transfers might come in the future? (Or are enough of us on hazak/contagion to start our own guild there?)

My problem is that I suck at leveling hard. I have very low tolerance for just questing for hours to level, or anything really grindy at all. To put it in perspective, I played WoW for like 4 years, and only ever leveled 2 characters to level cap, with one of them being with Cata's leveling rework. I'm scared that I'll buy the game and never even reach max level :-(.

The difficulty of this mmo sounds fun To be honest, once you get the hang of the veyr basic mechanics, the first 15-20 levels of questing is relatively easy, you can take a telegraph or two and survive, and if you're in a group with a friend or two nothing can really stand in your way. There were two points where I was like, "holy shit, this is hard." The first dungeon run at level 20, where until you get your mechanics/rotations down it's really painful, and a single telegraph will kill you easily. But once you get the hang of it it's not that bad, I can't wait to start grinding out the higher level, and veteran dungeons. They're going to be epic. And once I reached farside, at level 29. It went from "la di da i'm questing if i get hit by a telegraph i need to use my heal." to "holy fucking shit absolutely everything oneshots me if i blink, oh look a tiny flower on the ground oh wait it blew up and i'm dead." There were a few hard wanted quests before that, but nothing quite on this level. The difference between being able to make a mistake or two and just power through anyway, and any tiny mistake being punished by near instant death, is huge. And I'm really really enjoying even just the small mob fights now, whereas before they were kind of just a bit grindy. Also, if possible go questing/leveling with a friend. Sure you'll miss out on some of the text/plot (a lot of which is hilarious) but it makes it a lot less monotonous, and most area's which have "kill x of y" quests also have bigger mobs with 5-6 times the hp and damage, which you can kill as a group for much more % of the kill quest. Makes it a lot more fun and varied, and really helps learning things like timing interrupts which helps in dungeons too. Also lets you easily do wanted side-bosses, and if one of you can switch to healer for harder fights, you open up your options even more. I should note I'm going super dps squishy spellslinger, and my friend who's playing medic is finding farside a little less terrifying then i am :p On June 06 2014 11:23 dae wrote: I want to buy this game, and I think I'd enjoy the group PvE/PvP. I'm scared that I'll buy the game and never even reach max level :-(. There's a ton to do other then just "grind to 50 then raid" The quests are divided into regional hubs in each area, and each regional hub takes maybe between 30 minutes and an hour or two depending on the hub/how speedrunny you are. Some of the questlines are really hilarious if you actually follow along and read the dialogue, watch the cutscenes etc. It's very easy to do a hub or two, then just go pvp/dungeon/adventure/pimp your house/whatever. It's not at all like you need to max out to do anything. The leveling is actually pretty quick too, compared to some games I've played, but the way it's designed it's really easy to spend an hour or two doing a full regional quest line, then have the full sense of closure to go do something else for a while. And if you're anywhere near as ocd/completionist as i am, just playing explorer will give you tons of random explorarating to do. edit: I need to not post when i'm this tired, it always just ends up with me rambling, but since it's a giant post already, anyone have any decent spellsinger healer guides/setups/rotations?

![]() I ran into my first issue: Can't figure out how to lower the sens for turning the camera with mouse, and it's higher than i'd like it, not just a little bit, but by like 5x. Like, my character is turning round 15 times within the width of my mousepad with 750dpi on 1920x1080. With FPS, i'd only have it turn round 1-2x, obviously i don't want it that low for an MMO, but way lower than 15 would be nice. Pretty impressed so far! I got used to the mouse sens thing a little, just had to learn to turn with fingertips instead of lower arm - but with movement/turning seeming important in the combat system, i'd really like to be able to change this sens because i need a certain level of DPI (say 500-750 for a 1920x1080 screen) to use the interface, but that much DPI turns the character faster than i want

Not quite as fast as questing I think, but effectively. At 15 you get adventures, this combined with PvP will easily get you to 20, at 20 you have dungeon, adventures and PvP, all of which are fairly effective to level with. It should be entirely doable to not complete a single quest outside an instance and reach max level. Seirously, i never experienced something like that... After like 2 hours my eyes actually begin to physically hurt. Is there a way to tune down all the gloom/lightning or whatever to dumb down this stupid candyland-radiation? Oh, EU(?)-Guestpasses: All taken

We are playing Dominion on Ravenous. It is in the OP and the thread. There are also people playing on Hazak, but no guild I think.
