e: lol yea bout them dice, I wonder how much divine influence did the rolls get off camera (the DMs rolls, not the parties) *cough cough*
Very little. I believe in letting the dice roll what they will.
Sadly, virtual dice are no real dice. Real dice are divine, they directly show the will of a fickle god whom we can please through sacred rituals. Virtual dice are just soulless numbers with a cold, mechanical heart. Any roleplayer knows that you have to treat your dice carefully or they will turn their back on you. And you just can't do that with virtual dice.
Bregor with 29 HP. Vincent is going to be wrecking shit with that +5 to hit and +4 damage. And JP gets some level 2 spells now, can't wait to see what he does with those. Looks like Abigail looted some interesting stuff from Lord Feng. I can't wait for next week.

This group is so entertaining to watch
I love that JP is starting to realize how much trouble you get in when you are 8 feet tall.

Which is why I keep my dice in a rabbit pelt, warm and safe, sitting atop the rule books as a symbolic gesture that they are of greater importance than the rules.

Treat your dice well.
Yeah but neal, have you considered that perhaps your dice like to be treated roughly and not pampered?
Well, i personally am a much more logical guy. I know that dice don't care about that kind of stuff, and are beings of pure statistics. Which is why i make sure that my dice always rest with the ones on the top side, so that there is a statistically much higher chance of them rolling higher numbers. Because if they already spend days showing a 1, it is statistically absurd for them to show ones for the few seconds that i actually roll them.

I know my dice. They like to be treated like a lady, not some common harlot.

Woh woh woh, you can't do that shit! You'll train your dice that they should always be facing 1 on the top. And then when they roll "1", you'll be mad and they'll be confused because they're just doing what you're telling them and now you're all pissed at them. Man, we should call PETD on you.
Few things I hate more than wimpy dice rollers. I believe the dice should not be rolled, but thrown, several metres such as across the kitchen floor, in times of great crisis. Like the Allied armies trying to break into Constantinople on the very last turn and round of a PoG match.
Dice are the will of the gods. They do not exist for comfort. They do not seek friends. It is foolishness to attribute them desires and causality. Such humanly weaknesses are beneath the dice. They exist to roll. Any attempts to make them comply to your needs is doomed to fail. What is, is, and what will be, will be. It is mockery to try and influence their divine task.

Writers of Robot Chicken do DnD (4th Edition) I think one or two had played 3.5 and the rest were complete newbs. Hilarity ensues. Tom Root is pretty hilarious and one of the most experienced DnD players had the worst rolling throughout the game. Chris Perkins, the DM also has parallel commentary videos explaining some of the DM behind the scene stuff.

Clearly you don't know your science. The force of gravity acting upon your die will cause the material to settle to the bottom. Thus, you are effectively increasing your chance of rolling 1's!

oh wow that pax -12 video, holy moly, seriously this DM is 10/10 hilarious
Chris Perkins is a senior producer at Wizards of the Coast, and is an absolute baller of a DM.
