If I really have to download another 50GB patch after this I'll 1) be extremely pissed, 2) will have to shelf this game until January... it sucks having a monthly limit on internet, but hey, Poland 2nd World Country

I live in a smaller town, and on the outskirts of it as well. It's basically the countryside here. The main road is asphalt, but the side roads leading to the houses are still just dirt and gravel, so no internet provider is willing to lay down cables yet, that will have to be relayed again when the fucking town decides to actually put down asphalt or bricks. I'm stuck on a shitty 100GB monthly limit for 59.99 PLN(~17 USD). Speed isn't mindblowing either, I get around 1 MB/s down during the day and like 3-5 MB down during the night... It really fucking blows when games today are easily 100GBs (I had the same problem with Doom Eternal as I'm having now with CP2077) and trying to watch something on YT or Netflix...

Well, i live rural too (UK), plenty of dirt roads around as well. I got meh internet (70mbit down, 18ish up - no limits, £25 or around $31), but i wouldn't wanna switch to be brutally honest. This basically means you can't actually ever play the new Medal of Honour (320gb). Yeah, christ, that does suck. ![]()

Anyone know of any "crash fixes" for steam, apparently there's a solution if you're using GOG but not steam

I initially started mostly with intelligence/cool planning to focus on stealth but I'm now thinking that I might restart and go for a straightforward body build for my first playthrough.

The quick & dirty from me, after 3 hours: The game has soul. The setting is gritty, grimy and sucks you right in, be it exploring by yourself or getting a ride from someone. Combat is OK. Not amazing, but serviceable. You got stealth, you got melee, you got hacking & you got gun shooting, everything works for me so far. Driving feels like you're on ice. Maybe different vehicles handle differently? But the nomad starting car really sways like its' got no traction what-so-ever. I've played on medium/high settings, but every action feels sluggish, like it either has a delay or it's being executed in water (as opposed to crisp control you get on land/air). Also wierd after-effect to using your implants that resembles additional motion blur... personally not a fan. I'll lower everything to low to see if that helps with the slugginess of input when I wake up in like 8 hours. Only bug I've seen so far are people walking into elevators without the elevator doors opening until *I* get close, lol. Also mouse sometimes resets in character maker to 1 position, which was annoying. No crashes or game breaking bugs yet!

Came across my first two bugs within moments of each other. Looked in the mirror and my hair disappeared. Then the tutorial prompt explaining my stash wouldn't disappear and stayed on my screen until I logged out and back in. Another: ![]() Lmao

Oh yeah. Made it to the title card screen. I'll probably pick it up again a bit later. You can either race straight to it or take your time and venture about the city beforehand.

It does feel a bit like there's some kind of slight mouse smoothing going on, which i don't like, can't really put my finger on it. In regards to car physics, they're not great - but the Nomad starter car is particularly bad. The next car you get isn't as bad (the one in Firebolts picture). It's serviceable. If that car is the "norm", then i'm okay with it - it's not a racing sim after all. But if most cars handle like the Nomad starter, ugh. Shooting is.. fine. The hacking minigame is badly explained imho, the first two i completely screwed up because i didn't really understand what they wanted. Maybe that's just me, but i didn't feel like that was greatly explained. Or how to spend attribute points, wasn't immediately obvious either (not perk points). The.. "ingame hacking" is mapped stupidly, imho. Hold tab to get into "scanner mode", keep tab held, and press F to initialise a hack. Not sure if my keyboard's weird, or i have small hands, but it's pretty uncomfortable. Would've preferred "space" to initialise, by a lot. Plenty of.. collision problems, people floating a little over stairs etc, that kind of stuff. Jackie in one of the very early scenes leaves his guns in the door, literally - just floating there while he walks off. Same happens in the cutscene with him eating Ramen, his chop sticks floating just randomly in front of the players view, seemingly stuck. Got trouble sometimes picking up stuff, doesn't seem to recognise sometimes that i'm aiming at an item to pick it up, gotta faff around a bit until it lights up. Haven't had crashes, and nothing game breaking yet (though progress-stoppers do exist apparently). I do enjoy it, mind. The game world is great, very vertical (so many nooks and crannies to search), very densely packed. Voices, so far (i'm around 3 hours in, with mostly chasing sidequests), good. Story, can't say much, haven't experienced much but it's CDPR, so i'm pretty certain it'll be fun. So far, a good 8/10 for me. If they get the "immersion breakers" like floating crap etc fixed, 9/10.

Other than that so far the game is playable on 4k with high details, I am pleasantly surprised.
