Dat RNG. o.o
Rate my team yo:
Galvantula @ Focus Sash Ability: Unnerve 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP Timid Nature - Sticky Web - Volt Switch - Thunder - Bug Buzz
Azumarill @ Choice band Ability: Huge power 252 HP/ 252 Attack/ 4 Defense Adamant Nature - Ice Punch - Play Rough - Superpower - Aqua Jet
Skarmory @ Leftovers Sturdy 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD Impish Nature - Stealth Rocks - Defog - Roost - Brave Bird
Scizor @ Assault Vest (Aka, fuck you MegaGengar) Technician 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 SDef Adamant - Pursuit - UTurn - Bullet Punch - Brick Break (Superpower after bank comes out. ^_^)
Greninja @ Life Orb Protean 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP Naive - Uturn - Ice Beam - Scald - Dark Pulse
Heracross @ Heracronite Skill-Link 1xx HP / 252 Atk / 1xx Spe Adamant - Rock blast - Pin Missle - Earthquake - Bulk Up
I think realistically I have a little bit of a soft spot in the team to fire, but other than that I feel pretty decent about it for a "hey, check out these 6 Mon's I like" team.
As much as I love the move sticky web, I dunno how sold I am with it. I dunno, might just have to replace that tbh. Galvantula just doesn't seem that good to me.

What did you breed with skarmory to get defog?
|
I honestly don't like Skarmory anymore, losing ghost/dark resist really hurt it since it doesn't have good spec. def. Also I would run Aqua Tail/Water Fall instead of Ice Punch on Azumarill, he really wants a strong Water stab and aqua jet mainly used for a priority move. Also the main reason you use thunder on the spider is cause you have compound eyes, otherwise it misses to much.

I havn't actually made the Skarmory. I didn't really look into it that much, was just brainstorming and saw that most people were hyped about Skarmory getting Defog. But he doesn't learn it via breeding or leveling, but rather as far as I can tell just from Diamond/Pearl HM.
I don't think he can actually get it until pokebank is back unless I mistaken. My bad.
Only have the Hera, Scizor, and Frog actually bred.

I took Thunder and Unnerve to counter common suicide leads, like Custap-Skarmory for example. He 0HKO's SpD invested Skarmory with Thunder unless Skarmory has assault vest, in which case who gives a fuck.
That being said, I think Galvantula kind of overated. I could see like a Talonflame/Crobat/Aerodactyl just laughing in his face and 0HKOing.
I been thinking about maybe switching up Galvantula with Crobat, and then Skarmory with another wall.. I just want rocks really bad and decided that Skarmory would be better than Ferrothorn since I already weak to fire.
One option could be a Shuckle with SR+StickyWeb... any ideas?

Shuckle and Smeargle the only viable sticky web users besides galvantula, honestly don't know if web will be worth it since most of those pokes just gonna get rolled and then they will just use defog/rapid spin. Prob not gonna run a sticky web user and then have a rocks user and another spin/defog user
Also if people keep using Spider leads, everyone just gonna start using Cloyster lead, STAB Icecicle spear will kill it even with Sash
|
So I keep thinking about Aegislash and I'm still conflicted on one thing. Min speed, Max speed or somewhere in between?

Yeah, exactly how I feel.
Its kind of like Parting shot too, such a good move but no good users.
I wonder if the new and improved Defog can kind of eliminate the need for Rocks on every team. Rocks are damn good, but for fucks sake I hate that move. Ruins so many of my favorite Pokemon.

Uh, except Galvantula is way way faster and Has a guaranteed 1hko with Thunderbolt. 100% guaranteed even if Cloister runs 252 HP / 252 Sp Def.
252 SpA Galvantula Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Cloyster: 318-374 (104.6 - 123.02%) -- guaranteed OHKO.
Onlyway that works out for cloister is if Cloister runs Assault vest too, along with full Special wall EVs, but then its a gamble because Cloyster only has a 65% 0HKO
0 Atk Skill Link Cloyster Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Galvantula: 270-320 (96.08 - 113.87%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO.
Although I suppose Cloyster could run Focus Sash.

For sure mininum speed, you dont want it caught out by a slower Pokemon after the Stance Change. Aegislash gets countered by everything thats slower than itself.

Min speed if you want to do hit and run max speed if you want to sweep (Which I don't advise)
Also I really wish sticky webs had more users so my Malamar could roll over more people

With its normal build, but using a Scarf instead of Kings Rock it will out speed him

Imo min speed.
You want them to hit you first unless you going to 0HKO them, because otherwise they hit your Sword form defence instead of shield form.

Fair enough.

That route with Dugtrio and Trapinch is the most obnoxious place ever. You walk sooooooooo slow and the pokemon just run to you so repel doesn't work. Just wasted all my Surf PP twice and im barely out of the gate room....I like dugtrio but as a wild pokemon DIAF and GTFH!

If anyone is around and wants a Joltik with pretty good IVs to start breeding with, I have like 8 of them to hand out. Start a trade with me and I'll toss one your way! Ingame name is Colette.

I hate getting trade evolutions for my Pokédex, so that'll help. Just trade me whenever and I'll toss one to ya.

One option could be a Shuckle with SR+StickyWeb... any ideas? Hmm. Carbink looks to be a solid wall that can lay down Stealth Rock, take a couple of hits, and provide key resistances (notably to Fire, which your team hates). Its total lack of offensive presence doesn't really match your team, though, so perhaps someone like support Tyranitar instead. It's got a regrettable 4x weakness to Fighting, but most of your team resists it, which is handy.

I guess dragon immunity has some pros but still
Edit2: Holy crap I remembered Mega agaron exists...
