The biggest question I have going into this fight is: will Juan Manuel Marquez finally get the nod if this goes to the cards? I think the answer is yes. I think Pacquiao won the first fight between them by a point, JMM won the second fight by close decision, and the third fight by a wider margin. That said, many people believe JMM won all three and believe me, the judges know the pressure that they're under after the questionable decision of the third fight and the controversy of Manny Pacquiao's fight with Tim Bradley. In fact, I think that it's quite plausible that even if Pacquiao won on the cards, Marquez would still get the nod. You never know because boxing politics can dictate what happens on the cards more than what happens in the ring. Do I think this fight goes 12 rounds? I'm not sure... Supposedly Manny Pacquiao is focused and going out there to knock Marquez out, but that's what the Pacquiao camp always says. There's never another plan besides go out there and knock the guy out. Marquez also says he plans on knocking Pacquiao out. He's worked on speed and conditioning this training camp, and he picked up a strength and conditioning coach to get his 39 year old body into shape. You can definitely see the results as he looks shredded and bigger than Pacquiao despite weighing in less on the scales. I'm not sure how bulking up is going to affect his speed going into the fight, but we'll see. I think that the fight will probably play out like the last three, with maybe the exception of Marquez being a big more aggressive early on. I think it's really up to Pacquiao to dictate the fight with his attack. If he's going to rely on his double jab, straight left like he's always done, he's going to get timed and countered again. He needs to mix it up and throw the left hook more and not fall into Marquez's traps. Marquez, I think he can keep doing what he's been doing, but he needs to put in a lot more work to the body. Pacquiao is only vulnerable to the body and it's the only way Marquez can KO him because Pacquiao has a big ass head and ridiculous durability attached to it. He also can't take his foot off the gas in the 11th and 12th rounds. A lot of people who support Pacquiao winning the third fight say Marquez lost it in the 12th. I thought he won the 12th round, but he can't leave anything up to chance this time around. All that said, I don't know who's gonna win this one. I'll say that Marquez has looked better and better each time they fight while Pacquiao seems to regress and end up confused during the fight. I'm leaning towards Marquez via close UD, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him stopping Pacquiao. Pacquiao also has a good shot at winning, but I really think he should stay away from the cards if he wants to win. He's gonna have to send Marquez out on a stretcher if he wants this one. I really think it's going to be a battle of who wants it more, and Marquez's life obsession is his rivalry with Pacquiao, so we'll see what happens. TL;DR: 50/50 fight. Leaning towards Marquez. If Pacman wants to win, has to kill Marquez in the ring. @fbs: The main fight should probably be around 20:30-21:00 PST. I'd keep an eye around 20:00 PST to be sure.

10 years later: Pacquiao vs Marquez XXII. All jokes aside, if it comes to the scorecards i bet Pac is gonna win either way. Marquez can time good counters, but Pac will land more shots either way. Handspeed OP

I don't hate on MP its just that 3rd fight was an awful decision just to try and set up Mayweather vs Pacquiao which imo would be a very one-sided fight. Regardless of the outcome MP next fight is Brandon Rios what a shitty fight..... Rios followed by Bradley rematch I can almost guarantee. Zzz Bob Arum

He just has been chilling in the boxing ring which has pissed me off as a fan of his for a while. But with Khan leaving the Roach gym, and Roach only training Manny now im pretty sure that Roach would of made him get into good shape? I do hope this is a proper good fight, and i hope someone defo wins this time. Also the undercard to this fight...WOW best undercard ever by a mile? No one really knows how Manny's gonna look until the fight starts. Last time, Roach said that they had the best training camp of Pacquiao's career; Ariza said God himself could not help Marquez in the ring... look how that turned out. They're saying he's having a great camp again, good sparring and what not. I think the biggest difference is that he chose to do the whole training camp at the Wild Card this time around rather than half in the Philippines and half in LA, which should've eliminated most of his distractions, but the Wild Card itself can be a distraction itself with people going in and out like a fuckin train terminal. As for the undercard, it's pretty good. I dunno if I'd call it the best ever, Golden Boy has put together some great cards in the past 2-3 months.
