So, yeah...
To me that sounds like:
To beat that --> Switch Hero or switch to Fortunes instead of spells.

Yeah, unfortunately (or fortunately?) there's no hero with positive winrate vs everything in the meta. ![]()

Now I have most of the cards needed for my Xiph rush deck. I'm almost at 1000 elo.I'm wondering if I should spend my seals on five towers cards now. Or should I reach for the 10 xp boost achievement first? Also, I've been getting the small packs with my gold because they give the most card/gold (1000 gold per card). Hopefully, this way I'll get to the 1000 card achievement quickly. I'm currently 5-7 in a jackpot tourney, so it looks like my deck is almost decent. At what elo do you start to get prizes in jackpot tourneys? Also, do they do any matchmaking in jackpots, or do they just match you up against the next person to queue? It seems like it's just a random person, cause they match you up so quickly. I'm wondering because I want to know if the matches will start getting tougher as I get higher up in rank. And what are the prizes for swiss tourneys? I'm assuming they're a significant amount tougher than jackpot tourneys, so I probably won't try them for a while, but I am curious what the rewards are. Finally, can you get heroes from regular packs? I only have two heroes so I don't know if there's any way to get them other than wildcards, heroic packs, and decks.

I'm noticing that ceiling. While I'm nowhere near it yet, it's pretty apparent that most of the best decks are some type of control deck. I just chose to go for a rush deck because Xiph was my second (and latest) hero. Since I stated inferno, rush is the only real option before I get some better cards. Hopefully after I get my second box my rush deck will be pretty decent. Wuster what do you think is the general elo ceiling for non-Crag rush decks?

Five towers don't really add anything to most decks...the Champions Box on the other hand is a great investment. Or depending on what decks you'll want to build, HotV, VR or FW box. Buying xp boosts is a waste of seals. 2. Jackpot is more difficult than swisses if you want to get decent rewards out of it. You can easily get about 90ish telo, with which you can get around 5k gold (tier 5 reward). It matches you against a person with a similar telo, so your normal elo has no real significance if you are playing jackpot. (edit: Tier 1 jackpot requires about 270 telo on most days, and is worth about 48k gold) 3. The rewards for swisses: 1st place: premium FT pack 2nd place: normal FT pack 4. Heroic packs can give you base set heroes, HotV pack can give you HotV heroes, etc.

A very small chance! But more seriously, I saw in your other post that you are buying small packs with your gold but you shouldn't do that as they are not worth it at all. They can have duplicate (other packs don't) and you're not guaranteed to have 3 uncommon and 1 rare/epic cards like other packs. So you might end up with only common cards in your small pack. You shouldn't think about how much gold a single card cost per pack but more how many good cards you might get from them. The normal reinforcement packs only cost like 42 more gold per card but you are guaranteed to get 3 uncommon and 1 rare/epic, a lot better than the small packs.

I'm only around 1000 - 1200 ELO depending on which deck I'm messing around with (did my best with Acamas combo deck). I change decks a lot and a generic Garant rush (no DA's even) still wins me 50-50, so I haven't seen the ceiling yet, but I guess you could say it's also not a pure rush deck either (it's so subjective). The few times I see 1400+ elo rushers it's always Crag Hack and Ishuma (although Ishuma isn't stricly rush), then again Mother Namtaru rush decks still get T1 in jackpot, it's just no one wants to play it.

Yeah, I stopped getting them because I needed some void rising cards. And I just got another void wraith, so that paid off. It seems like premium packs are a terrible idea unless you're done collecting all the regular cards. Do they have any upshots other than having premium cards? After a certain point (when you have most of the cards you need) it's better to buy small packs, simply because every third can give you a wild card; that's insanely cheap, compared to getting 1 out of a FT pack for example. But earlier on, yeah, you should stick to reinforcement packs.

But if you got the gold and the drop rate is still 30-40% then by all means, that's the best WC return on your gold.

Also, the creatures that have "When X is played onto the battlefield or attacks, do Y" and have a bunch of heath are so strong. I seem to be peaking at around ~1000 elo on my Xiph rush deck. I wonder if I should start planning my next deck soon. I'm still making blunders because of simple misplay/ignorance, but I think this deck will cap at maybe 1200 elo even if I get better at playing. Some of my mistakes are pretty obvious though, it's not just hindsight 20/20. But others are because there was some card i'd never seen or mechanic I didn't understand. Is there a list of all the cards with quick attack/that give quick attack? I remember one time someone used a card that copied a minion that I just played, and then attacked with it like it had quick attack, even though the copied minion just appeared and the original minion hadn't gotten around to the next turn yet. Another question: do swiss games give you regular gold and xp as well as chances to win packs?
