2. Chris is right, they can only die if intercepted (calculate an (counter-)attack to arrive 1sec after the clubies come home), otherwise they'll just be not at home at night. 3. You actually don't have to get a 2nd village at all. If you're really active you just need 1 (or later more) biiig granaries and lots of merchants to supply your -2,3,4,5,6000... crop village. You'll grow by conquering only when you are big enough and there are nice targets around. Conquering is usually cheaper than settling from ~400-450 pop upwards on. To make it easier for you you CAN settle a 9crop/15crop field so you won't have to buy so much crop each day. On a sidenote: forget about players ranking- Off-ranking is the only thing that really counts. | ||

Romans don't have the lovely pillage bonus so Legs can only get so much from the neighbors after a while. You definitely want to tech to Equ Imps over Imps. Equ Imps expands your raiding radius 2x at least. Yes it's costly but there's more benefits. Imps are good if you have a Teuton neighbor with a lot of spears. | ||
