Something like a i5-2500k is more than enough. http://cdn.overclock.net/3/35/1000x10000px-LL-35bacdfc_bf4_cpu_radeon.png If I run it beyond low with some medium settings like effects, it pauses and freezes a LOT. I don't have a 400$ video card, but I can run BF3 on very high graphics settings with 60fps with my current card (650ti). I find it difficult to believe that running the game at 1280x720 on low should be getting me 45-50 fps most of the time. When I set it to low priority on my processor I cut out the random freezes however which was nice. And my processor is the 3570k which is shown there btw. Though i would love to update my card I would also need a new PSU since I was on a budget when I built this PC. If i can play medium 60fps on launch I'll be happy I dont need super eye candy this year, maybe next I upgrade ![]()

I'm running windows 7 with a 2500k at 4.4 and a gtx 770 and can't pull a consistent 60 fps. My biggest issues are anything involving a helicopter. The second one of those flies near me or blows up I get massive fps spikes.

- Weapon DOF makes your peripheral view a bit blurry when aiming down sights. its there to make it look more realistic but you should turn it off because its glitched atm and makes the ironsights on certain weapons inacurate. -AApost is Anti aliasing -AAdeffered is also Anti Aliasing should be turned off atm because it causes a glitch with the dust on shanghai i heard, dont ask me what exacvtly i have it turned off anyway so i didnt bother to ask for specifics (google it if you need more info). Also one of the two AAs gives you input lag to be on the safe side turn them off -Mesh Quality is basically draw distance, it defines upto what distance certain map elements (like concrete blocks or neutral vehicles) are rendered. This is the only setting i put on ultra (in bf3 competitive players usually put everything on low except mesh to ensure max fps if their rig wouldnt run max fps for shure) -Post process quality, not shure probably some sort of filter

AApost is like FXAA AAdeferred is like MSAA you should use only pick one. AApost has better performance. AAdeferred has better quality. turn both off for max performance

The revive time window to bring someone back is incredible weak, kind of annoying as I can't aim for shit and relied on a more "supportive" role to really contribute ):

It's more than fine that rezpaddles are nerfed a bit, and I think the charging mechanic is fine if you change it to give rez points according to the charge level you rezzed someone with. However it's pretty dumb that you get like 2 seconds to revive people when it basically takes those 2 seconds to fully charge the paddles. It's a bit over the top.

I agree, its really rare that i get revived nowdays even if i almost always play in a squad with friends who are experienced bf3 medics and were very efficient with revives in bf3. If you have to kill a enemy first before reviving or check if its safe to rez then you will often run out of time. The medics usefullness has been reduced a tad too much i feel since medpacks arent that usefull either with autoregen (that will be very different in comp play where autoregen is off though) and even if the ARs are still more versatile than the other class specific weapons they dont seem to be much ahead of the all kit carbines. Atm it feels like there are 3 support classes and engineer. Assault brings engis health, Support brings engis ammo and recon locks on stuff for engis. Then again its a rather vehicle heavy map so its not really a surprise that engis are strong.

I got 40 to 60+ boost in fps when I switched, this game runs terribly on windows 7..

I think that it's a good thing that the revive window got shortened, since the revive window was way too long (When you get killed, you have to wait until the opponent's information goes away, as well as a couple of seconds in the deploy window) in BF3. Rezzing in BF4 feels weird since I feel the hit box is smaller and the lag of charging the paddles, so there is absolutely no time to revive. A Possible solution would either be charging paddles+BF3 res time, or no charge+BF4 res time. Medpacks will always be number one until self-throwing medpacks cannot heal themselves, especially with autoregen is set to off. Auto-regen is just a way to get back to the fight much faster as other classes since they don't have medpacks as an option; if you get damaged or about to engage, my reaction would be to instantly throw a medpack down (this is not the best decision at all times), heal up, and get back to the fight instantly. No one knows about the balance of the guns, nor how will DICE balance these guns and attachment combinations. If we have another M16A3field (or in this case M16A4field), I certainly would not like it. I always felt that there was a significant American bias in starting default weapons (M16A3, M4A1, M27, and the MK11 were better than the starting default weapons of the Russians except for maybe the M27 vs. RPK). The reason why you feel that the map is Engineer dominated is due to the map with the amount of vehicles. Tanks, APCs, different helicopters, ground transport, and boats all require engineers to take them out since there's only Recon with C4 as the only other option with other classes (I don't know about the support weapon with their launcher, and the grenade launcher with the Assault kit is not the best way), coupled with the need for control of the C flag at the start of the match.

Lazed targets always hit for those "weak points" as well. Kinda like the old soflam javelin combo doing more damage in BF3.
