any source on that?
my fps in BF3 is around 60-75 whilst in BF4 beta (with beta drivers) it's closer to 25-30.

I noticed turning network smoothing to 0 helped a lot at least for me.

Same. I really don't know. I wasn't the biggest fan of BF3 (paid 10$ for BF3 in oct 2012 and 25€ for premium right after) BF4 seems like minimal better, but its not a Game I can play for more than 1 hours straight. But for whatever reason my brain says BUYBUYBUY. -_-

Huh, hipfire is utterly terrible with any weapon I've used, which includes AK-12, Scar and MX4. You literally cannot hit a target that is in kniferange with hipfire. I'm not exactly against it, but it sure is a change from BF3 and BC2.

Lucky, with updated drivers and everything i get like....2 fps :D and my computer is somewhere inbetween min and recomended specs, cant actually even get into options to lower settings, which my game automatically set to high. Quite frustrating

So what kind of rig do you actually need to play this game?
Feels like it has some good immersion etc, but it runs like such shit that it ruins anything that might be good. Also not shelling out to upgrade a 570 quite yet just for one game that might not be that good.

The performance problems only exist on Win7. Whether it will be fixed or not I don't know. Personally I've been using 8 since early August and I don't know why everyone hates it, it's all around improved 7 after some very minor alterations (installing a start button basically)

Win8 is a fucking terrible Tablet-OS!. I could not live with a Windows without StartMenu.

So install a start menu. It takes less than one minute

I could run bf4 beta reasonably well with a 7770, no reason why a 570 shouldnt be able to run it even better.

It will be. Dice has said they might release a patch in the beta to fix the issue as well.

Don't have the source, I saw it on the bf4 reddit which had a direct link to a couple tweets which I am to lazy to look hard for right now xD

I made a phoenix for me + Show Spoiler + And btw the start button is being officially added soon anyways.

So I'm in a little conflict right now guys. I preordered Call of Duty: Ghosts, but after playing the beta for a bit, I almost wanna buy BF4 instead. The chopper controls feel even better compared to BF3 and I really like the improvements Dice made like gaining points while tapping, not when tap is done (atleast in conquest), you can choose if you wanna accept the ressurection. Also, Battlelog seems to be working better than BF3's (which I really disliked).
Only problem is Premium seems to be mandatory for the complete experience, which increases the cost to a whooping 100 Euro, which is quite frankly ridiculous for a game.

Well, why exactly are you buying call of duty then? I'm pretty sure they're going to have a premium esque type thing as well. Probably season pass or something stupid which is going to equal out those two.

Doesn't cod only releases new mappacks and not features like queue priority and whatnow? The last cod I played was MW2, so I don't know if such a premium package already exists or will exist. From the footage I've seen so far (trailers/gameplay and some interviews) I don't recall hearing something like that exists.
Edit: Okay, now I look really dumb. Cod has the same stupid season pass thing at the same price. How did I not catch that? Guess I'm rolling with BF4 then. Thanks Infernal_dream!

I think the Laser-Sight/RPG combo is pretty neat, albeit a bit OP. Graphics look pretty good.
I don't like the map, camping on elevators, roof galore for snipers, it's just awkward and unpunishable unless you go Sniper (and even then; it's still awkward and long to reach them). I found Sniper rifles were a bit too easy to run-and-gun too.
Guns are a bit too easy as well, I spray and pray and I always get multiple kills when I shouldn't. The map gets far shittier when the skyscraper crumbles and there's "dust" everywhere. As a sniper you end up shooting at triangles instead of people. The worst part is that it works very well. Try spraying and praying with the stock support weapon the u100 i think it is? It's fucking horrendous.
In all honesty, I like C as a full skyscraper and I have such an easy time when it is completely crumbled. I don't like the surrounding ports around C at all though.

I never got premium, I don't understand the perk at all. I'm honestly going to start out with BF4 without premium and then consider it if I really put in the time.
Otherwise fuckit, I never used it and never bothered with it in BF3

Bigger problem is the fact that if you dont have a hyperthreading processor you cant run it beyond low at the moment. I saw Bwana stream it on twitch with a 560ti on all high - with a 2nd gen i7. streaming in 1080 at a 1080 resolution
