Knives (and Fanatiq) makes Sentinel look like an amazing character on a regular basis, but he's definitely not a particularly strong point character. Between having a gigantic hitbox that leaves him vulnerable to combos that don't work on 95% of the cast and having low health, he's deceivingly fragile.

too bad for yipes. almost top 16

yay, Yipes out ^_^ No idea who he is but because the crowd booed for the other person I'm incredibly happy now

What does it mean when a character is level 5? Also, when a character becomes "dark", does it mean he's using x-factor? Level 5 is Frank West only, when he snaps a photo in a combo he gains 'XP' based on the number of hits in the combo. As he levels up he gains more options, so you'll see specialized combos to get him to level 5.
"Dark" came from Dark Phoenix, but yeah characters who are known to be monstrous under XFactor level 3 are called dark as a joke.

Serious question. What takes more skill to use: Zero or Vergil?

Level bar down below. you see 1,2,3,4,5. Dark specifically means afte phoenix is level 5 and activates her ability she becomes faster and "dark" phoenix. X-factor is a once-per-game ability that allows the characters to be faster, hit harder, and regenerate health for a limited time.

To be fair it would be so ridiculous to coordinate a challonge bracket for these tournaments with 1k+ entrants.
Pools I understand, but Quarterfinal brackets were not updated AT ALL when we were already at Semifinal matches yesterday for AE so for those who wanted to see how their favorite players did that weren't featured on stream did, they couldn't until Day 1 finished which is terrible.

level 5 refers to frank west at maximum level, which is achieved by getting combos with x amount of hits per level. i dont know the exact details but that is the gist. he gains new moves and properties at each level.
dark = x-factor level 3. aka activating x-factor with only one character left.

level 5 means they have 5 meters, which is what you burn to use super moves (lv 5 frank is different). A pheonx with 5 bars becomes dark pheonex when she dies, which is the most powerful character in the game. dark virgel or dark wesker are xfactored characters that can kill characters as fast as dark pheonix

Dark Phoenix is what happens when Phoenix dies and she has 5 meters before the last hit, if you notice she has the feathers on her attacks and does a lot of damage. Dark *whatever* usually refers to level 3 x-factor for characters. Frank West has a level up mechanic where he takes a snapshot picture, and he gets XP based on the hits in a combo, and for each level up he gets, he gets access to extra moves and extra stuff on his attacks, like you'll notice once he hits level 4, he starts using chainsaws and such.

Level refers to the meter stocked at the bottom of the screen. In Marvel, it's up to five.
In the case of Frank West, he has a special mechanic where his moveset gets upgraded. The level is next to his face at the top.
Going dark indeed is using X-Factor.
