Had the most fun in dayz in a while. Spawned in kamenka on a high pop server, ran to cherno, found an enfield and pack, got a map and some survival gear, headed to the tallest building in the city. It was night, but a full moon, and so visibility was quite high. Less than a minute after getting up there, I see a guy running into the town from the west, right on the road. Estimated the range, aimed, and fired a shot; miss, low. Readjust and fire again, hit. Fire, miss, fire, hit. 1 murder.
Woohoo, ~550m shot with an enfield, not bad. Started looking around some more, and I see a pair of individuals in ghilles approaching from near the construction site to the east. I broke out my binos and watched where they were moving to. They prone near a few trees and start looking in my direction. Now, this is about 2-3 minutes after my previous shots, so I figured they were looking for me, or at least where the shots came from. Figured I may as well take a shot; break out the enfield again, aim a bit high and cover the whole target with the sight base. BLAM. Another kill, right through the head, apparently.
Waited and scanned from my position for another 15 minutes. Didn't ever see where my victim's companion went, but I wanted that guy's stuff. Climbed down from my tower, and proceeded on my way towards the corpse. Unfortunatley, halfway there, I started taking DMR fire. I had no idea where it was coming from, so I just juked as hard as I could, and tried to put walls and buildings between myself and any vantage point on where I was. Then I heard an M4SD also. Then an enfield. 3 fuckers shooting at me, at close ranges, and I had no idea where they were. Finally, I took a trio of M4 rounds in quick succession, and started bleeding. After juking my heart out and nearly shitting myself, I found a very deep shadow I could hide in and bandaged myself.
I looked out around a corner towards the direction I came from, but saw nothing. I figured there was no point trying to hunt individuals who knew I was there, but had no idea of their whereabouts, so I continued around the construction site to the corpse that was my initial destination. I arrived there, and quickly looted him. Coyote pack, tons of meat, drinks, NVG, range, M4 SD, the works. Awesome, now I'm kitted out, all I need except for a scoped rifle. Figured I'd head to the construction site, and see if I could pick anyone off from the windows there; the 2nd and 3rd floors both offer good vantage points, with good cover and escapes also, should it come to that.
Poked around a bit, saw nothing. Spent about five minutes looking in different directions, to see if I could spot any Z aggro, and suddenly ZWIP ZWIP BANG BANG! DMR firing at me, and at quite a distance. Considering I heard both past me before either of the shots I knew that the shooter was quite a ways off. I hugged the concrete and could tell from the sound and the dust puffs on the pillars behind me whereabouts he was shooting from. I tried to find him, but each time I poked my head out, I got additional reminders that poking my head was ill advised. I figured the best thing to do would just be to bide my time and bore him for a few minutes.
BANG BANG BANG! I heard him shotsagain, and saw a notification of another's death. This wasn't the DMR that had been keeping me pinned earlier, but someone with an M107. I peeked out, and sure enough, he was on the pinnacle of the industrial zone, on the roof of my previous spot. Lined up the sight post, and got a shot off quickly as to keep myself from being exposed more than necessary. +1 bandit kill, score. Now I was psyched, tearin fools up with nothing more than an 80 year old rifle.
Then, to my greatest surprise, I heard another set of gunfire, but this wasn't directed at me. Apparently the individuals that had attempted my own death earlier on my trek to my prize had discovered each other, and were not too keen on letting each other live. A fight broke out between a pair ontop of the hospital, and three individuals on the ground, nearer to my position. Nine rounds later, I'd killed one of the men on the ground and both on top of the hospital. I was feeling great. Unfortunately, my rampant firing of the enfield had attracted quite a swarm of Z's, and several were ascending the staircase. I made my way to the roof, and took a look at the hill to the east, looking for any additional predators. After a quick glance, I saw nothing, and nobody fired at me. Great, it's safe, just take this back ladder down, head to the back stairs, into the woodline and I'm good...ZWIP.
Dead.
And thus ended two hours of beautiful ironsight marksmanship and my terribly enjoyable interruption of a fight that was not my own, and the best time I've had in dayz for a while.
TLDR: just read it you dick.

I have an awesome story too.
I got on a quadbike with pandemik and went north. We stopped at a deer stand and I accidentally threw a grenade, it hit a tree trunk in front of me and blew me up. Luckily it didn't hit pandemik or the quadbike.
TLDR: I'm a fucking idiot
