The receiving data, I don't know if it's an actual %. Sometimes it seems like a longer bar, sometimes it doesn't. You should stick to a server because you will be able to play within 10 minutes. On my last character life, I sprinted through the dark a fucking mile, ran up a hill, ran a few more miles in some random direction (thanks to a bottle on W) and managed to end up where I fucking began where I decided to take the hill. GG respawn, I'll just go find Elektro again.

I found one can of soda and one can of beans, but I was so low on blood that it didn't help much at all. I ran through the small town and agro'd about 30 zombies, but it didn't matter with all the ammo that I had. With all the blur I couldn't scout around for cows/sheep effectively, and both of my water cantine's were empty without a lake/well in site. I'd honestly say that I just...gave up. I hadn't logged for a few days because I've been waiting for Rocket to fix the issue with tents, but it's been well over a week and who knows how much longer before they release a patch. With even more zombies swarming me I decided to make my final stand in the kitchen of a run-down home. I climbed the stairs and watched as they flooded in one by one until there were so many in the hallway that they overran me as I was reloading my Winchester. I killed well over 90 zombies before they finally reached the last step of the staircase and knocked me unconcious. The odd part is I was actually relieved once I died. I had been alive for so long that it was almost a burden to have decent items as I was too afraid to venture to the more dangrous parts for fear of losing my gear. Some of the best items that I've found were from dead survivors or bandits that I had bested. It's almost a necessity, if you will, that I die and someone else recover my Alice pack. I died with a G17, a CZ550, a Winchester, and a ton of ammo for each weapon. I had NVG's, a Map, Survival Knife, Matches, Blood Pack(s), a Camping Tent - you name it. Man..whoever finds my body is sure as hell going to be happy. But now I'm relieved to be back on the shoreline. I've already killed two bandits and one of them had been kind enough to deliver me a Winchester =]. I figure I'll begin my new life preying on the survivors/bandits around Chernogorsk/Elektro. Once I have my fill of Makarov Mags, Slugs and Beans, I'll probably slowly make my way North. This time I'll succeed in finally making it to the airfield, no matter what.

Although it seems that you can't have a handgun + a flashlight, you have to choose one of the two, am I correct or did I do something wrong?

I can't explain how much excitement you feel sneaking past zombies.. avoiding players.. teaming up with players.. killing bandits.. it is quite a thrill. The deaths are painful and really make you fight with all you have to survive.

Yea, the flashlight takes up the same slot as the sidearm, so you can't have both. The tents you found were placed by other players to store their stuff in.

I'm not sure why it was implemented, since it makes it terrible for those who play sporadically. Well the thing is I logged on one server, found myself starving, and I ate my last steak. I switched to another server and when I loaded in I was starving again. If they really intend for you to log in starving and dying of dehydration then that's pretty stupid imo. It hasn't happened every time I've logged on/off though is the thing, only sometimes.

Is there a way to support the developers? Do not feel like giving my money just to the Arma guys.

On the other hand, had a good run before. We had a group of 3 heading towards from Elektro to Stary Sober's medical tents, unfortunately we lost one along the way due to server issue, resulting in a death. We continued and decided to swing north to the inclined forest area of the military medical tents above the chainlinked fence to perform some recon, as we approached there were shots. Slowly moving through the forest to get a better view of the area, we stumbled upon a fresh unlooted corpse(Murderer skins are removed); this pretty much where the paranoia and apprehension sets in as we were talking over teamspeak. Anyway, my teammate keeps watch while I check his inventory and found nothing of use. As we stopped at a dominating position overlooking the tents, more shots fired and I spot a lone player at the tents. My teammate has a M4 CCO and I only had my Makarov, so we stalked the player briefly while hes looting. After the lone survivor/bandit killed the zombies he had aggro, my teammate took the shot... One round straight to the temple and he fell in front of the tents. I decided to go forward to confirm and loot while he keeps watch concealed in the tree lines. Checking his pack, this guy was pretty much set for an expendition, he basically had everything except for a set of NVG. I grabbed all the essentials; blood pack, some meat, ammo for his M4, AKM with a ridiculous amount of ammo and got the hell out of there. We went north to the nearby deer stands, looted and decided to kill Dolly for more delicious red meat and set up a camp fire to feed ourselves. My framerate was abysmal for awhile, at the tents too so we decided to end it here. My teammate actually saw more players run into the town center but luckily either they did not see us or just waited for us to leave. edit: On May 28 2012 16:11 Grend wrote: Great videos haha, I`m on the fence, waiting until things improve a bit, like 1/2 year or so before trying it. I actually don't know how bullet spread works in arma 2, but I doubt it's completely randomized. If it is then I just got 'lucky' with my Makarov that has slightly more predictable behavior.

I think what would help with the SHOOT EVERYBODY!!!!11!! trend that has been occuring lately is Direct Comms working and servers that were voice only. It just takes too long to type "Friendly?" and even then they may not even notice. Also typing things like "Hey, have you got any spare food? Because I'm dying here" is a lot more effort than just shooting the other guy to find out the answer. It also adds a much more human element to the players in the world as hearing someone talk is much more personal than reading them type. I'm not sure what other people think about this but it's definitely something I'd want to see.
