I know where dark and slows tents are, i dont go there and grab stuff, i basically know where bk and tofus main camp is and i dont go and grab their shit, now all im asking is to leave our fucking low lvl shit alone. What do you need an extra M24 lying around all the other AS50s and M107s? if some unkown noob grabs it then fine, but getting robbed by the guys a channel below you in TS pisses me the fuck off.
i would love to get the M24 back. Or do i have to get myself a boat? Our 21 tent camp got raided, everything stolen, we lost 2 vehicles, and most of us died. It was the S.T.A.R.S. clan btw, so watch out for them. Wow really, the S.T.A.R.S have come on Atlanta 69???? Good to know... I got beef with some of them... Yeah we caught them landing on shore in our PBX and Ghazi (I think) shot one in the face. It was Bean? I think, though I was running around Elektro trying to regear at the time so I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.
But yeah, some stuff we lost in the past couple days (mostly last night): UAZ White pickup ATV PBX Fishing Boat 21 tents (about 14 with stuff in them) containing 2 MK 48 5 AS50 2 M16A2 M203 and about a dozen mixed grenade types (flashes, HE, smoke) 6 FN FAL 2 FN FAL ANPV S4 3 M14 AIM 2 M4A3 CCO 2 L85 Copious amounts of ammo for all of the above 3 Rangefinders 4 NVGs Several respawns worth of pistols and tools A few days' worth of food and drink
And a bunch more stuff I can't remember. I think we had 6 Bizons and a few AKs and a few more M4s. We've restarted our camp elsewhere (still haven't picked our next actual location) with 3 AKs and a couple M14s.
Shit happens yo.
As for "Bandage Bandits" stuff on the map, I put markers next to other people's like that when I'm bored rolling around in the wagon. Could have been me. I don't remember raiding your tents though.

Since server restart makes flattened tents come back I think (not tested personally) And I'm not really sure how the map markers work, I seem to get some markers, but not all of them that others have come up. Does it take time to update or does it depend on how long you have the map for (as in you get the markers put on as they are written, but not while you are in game or not markers written before the map spawned.)

Markers are based on the channel you're in (group/direct/vehicle)
And all of our tents are empty so yeah it's gone.

I have a tent I have no use for as I'm mostly playing solo, anyone have a weapon they would trade for it? I have an AK with a few mags and need an upgrade. Maybe a sniper (not the CZ)? Could also use a sidearm. I have no idea what the value of a tent is.
I am located north of cherno and can trade anytime this evening US. If you have a sidearm as well that would be ideal, can provide soda or food or something if needed.

I read on the dayz site that an admin of one server said that one of the STARS guys was bragging about hacking.

Would love a DMR, unfortunately I should have specified that I'm at work and won't be on til this evening US (~6.5 hrs or so). Will edit that in my post.
Saw your edit, think you'll be on around then? Also, that DMR come with any mags? :p
Also I'm north of cherno so the chances of me actually surviving the journey to nw airfield may be slim lol

Look, bK-, Zorkmid, there are a lot of ways to play this game. There are people playing alone, there are people gathering and forming groups, there are people who love PvP and camp NW airfield all day long. All these ways to play are legit to me. Saying that Rocket didn't expect people to group up is preposterous to me. Just like in real life, people can and will certainly group up in order to survive the apocalypse.
I reckon that using TS may not be the way the game is supposed to be played. However, there is a reason why TL members play on TL Atlanta 69. That's simply because people want to play together.
This is a PvP game above all, true that. But TL is a community you know, so I say Teamspeak is a great complementary tool. Personally I don't mind people gathering in secure channels and all that. I just don't want to get ganked by fellow TL'ers when playing on ATL69. If TL'ers start killing each other and stealing stuff from each other, then what's the point of playing on the TL server as a TL member?

From watching rockets interview from like 3 days ago he is all about grouping like people have a problem with snipers in Cherno get a group together and shut it down. Was pretty much his exact words.
I don't really see a problem with how we operate on TL server or on TS. There are probably a max of 15 of us on at the same time usually more like 10. With a 50 pop server that has lately been close to max when I hop on I don't think we are running around care free like we won't get shot.
I think its kind of like we are stationed all over the map with somewhat central hubs of operations and some times we work together. Many people roll solo like myself but of late I have been rolling with 1 or 2 or 6 people at a time and it has made for some fun and interesting times for sure.
Like yesterday Mani was hurt and I waited for Zork to come and Stevarius and we went to go help mani out. I love stuff like that. I unfortunately had to go because I had Girlfriend aggro. So I had to leave suddenly.
We have helped anesthetic who is a heli / hostile person magnet too. Right now I really like how our circle of groups are forming.
When we get to the point where 2 groups get together to take out some "outsiders" man its gonna be fun!!
Edit:
Right now its great to hear hey is anyone near Stary I have a broken leg and someone says yea I'll come help.
Like Tofu as far as I know doesn't play with Anesthetic to often. Anesthetic was shot and in Berenzhino. Mani was around.
Tofu hops in his vehicle and heads to help Anesthetic with Mani not to far away Mani provides overwatch with a sniper rifle. None of it planned thats what makes this game so damn great imo.
I will admit I was a little jealous of the groups with all the vehicles and all the goodies, but I was playing solo mostly I wanted to get in and be apart of having all the best stuff.
Then I was like hey I eventually will get access to this stuff I just might have to do it mostly on foot. I think I have done pretty well for myself in collecting some decent stuff. Now being apart of stevaruis group and roaming around with them to collect stuff has been really fun and I'm starting to prefer it over rolling solo.

I still need to go check and see if the bus that I found 3 weeks ago is still where I parked it. Also, if you try putting items in a tent that's full, do those items get deleted? I tried restocking one of our tents with a PDW and AK but as soon as I put them into the tent they disappeared /:

It is not a safe haven for TL'ers simple as that. You cannot afford to hesitate when you see somebody. If you think twice or jump on direct chat you expose yourself to the target. That can and will get you killed but that's just the nature of the game. In the group I play with they tend to be really good at communicating with one another. So I always know where they are at all times regardless. Instinctively I will shoot on sight and others will do the same. So how about this next time you see somebody running around. Take a moment pause and hop up a channel in TS. Now you can't sit there and tell me that is a smart choice. Only way I can see that you might have time is if your sniping then maybe. Other than that I see no other chance for you to "confirm" the target as un-hostile. That is just how people been playing as of late and the people who take the time to jump up a channel usually end up with the short end of the stick.

Best bet is to have knowledge of other groups whereabouts and stay away from those areas, or meet up with them. But yeah its generally shoot on sight unless I know friendlies are in the area

I died to GF aggro too. And I do enjoy grouping up like that, but it does prevent you from being immersed completely. It's like playing Amnesia with the lights on and on skype with your pals.

pretty much this.
But since more and more of us have been hanging out on TL TS server when we play, we have made a sort of "pickup group".
Me, Carmon, Stevarius, Paqman, Ozii, PTMC, Anesthetic, we have all grouped up sort of spontaneously lol.
Before we knew it we had 4 tents spread across the map and 3 vehicles. We invite pretty much anyone who talks in teamspeak to come join us. We dont mind sharing our vehicles(tho we have all of the worst ones lolol)/weapons. As long as people are respectful of our stuff.
For instance we had ptmc join up with us, we show him our tents and our wheels on the first time, but ptmc is such a nice guy he didnt even want to upgrade his gun at our tent for free.
"well i have this m4 that i got myself, and i dont want to lose one of your better guns, and i didnt help get them so this is fine"
which is very respectful.
i personally was getting tirwedbut honestly anyone is welcome to our tents as long as they dont go automatically from "i have an axe" to "i have an m107 cause u had 1 in ur tent" like grab one of the guns we have multiples of, grab a couple mags and no1 will care.
Honestly forming the "casual" tl group as i like to call it has completely reinvigorated me for this game and i look forward to playing with Carmon, Stevarius, etc from now on when i log on to ATL 69. It gave me a whole new desire to play on that server.
Even the core TL group will log into the more popular dayZ channels if they arent running any group-ops to get to know every1 better..
i am sure one day TL players will all be more well connected with eachother... especially with more and more outsiders setting up camp on ATL 69.
Nothing can bring people together like the sudden arrival of a mutual enemy.
I personally dont really enjoy playing solo anymore... without general chat it just gets too... seperated i guess? idk... dieing solo and having to completely restart everyday is annoying. And honestly other people are grouping, and if you are not then you are the one at disadvantage... idk grouping is my favorite thing about the game now and with TL on ATL 69 now i always have some1 to group with.
(tho i occasionally roam solo... mostly just collecting gear for the tents. We never ever ever have enuf of the basic stuff like med supplies, tools, food water.)
ANYWAYS....
has the game been fixed yet? or will i still lose all of my camo/tools/gear cause i have a full loadout and dont feel like giving it away

i would love to get the M24 back. Or do i have to get myself a boat? That sucks man. I worry to that my stuff will be raided, but I'm sure eventually it will happen. Only way I can see around it honestly is each of the main groups shares the locations of their camps. Maybe a separate map or something so we can reference. I don't see it really happening though cause people like their stuff and you have to trust the people that you tell we all know who plays a ton of this game and works together on several occasions. If I found a camp I would ask in TS if it was somebodies before I raided it but thats me though. To be fair the server has been pretty crowded lately from watching streams and hearing people talk thats all some people do is look for camps similar to heli crash sites
i really like this idea... my only problem is i would never suggest posting it on the TL thread.. as people know the tl server players have a forum here lol.
like maybe we could share it on teamspeak with 1-2 people from all of the core groups... but idk its only worth it if u are really worried about a tl'er finding your tent.
but honestly people need to realize that when you approach a tent you dont know if it's a TL'ers or not so getting mad/pointing fingers and getting all "well i didnt know TL'ers would steal from eachother!!" well they didnt know it was yours or they wouldnt have... if you were on TS you could have been like "o shit thats my tent... plz dont jack my shit" which has happened before

This was tried. It ended up being some people spending hours gathering weapons and vehicles, and others taking the guns and cars and losing them. I found 5 vehicles and 2 days later only 2 remained. Then those got taken as well so nothing is left and I did not get to drive any of the vehicles besides to the camp to park them. Also med supplies and guns would disappear at a rapid rate. like 10 blood bags 15 morphine, 3 m4s, and ammo would be gone every 12 hours. snipers would never stay more than a couple hours so you would never have those. It just got old playing that way, gathering supplies for your "TL" friends to come take them and never replace anything. Good luck on your new base.
