Our 21 tent camp got raided, everything stolen, we lost 2 vehicles, and most of us died.
It was the S.T.A.R.S. clan btw, so watch out for them.

im not worried about losing shit and tents, im worried that we might raid ppl that are on TS together without even knowing about it. To you an M24 and some basic assault rifles may not mean much, to us its a weeks work. Its the perspective that counts, when you got so much time that you are able to amass that amount of loot then losing it is even worse i agree. But even losing small amounts that could be avoided by communicating with each other would be better wouldnt it?
korv and dark mentioned that you might have gotten to our tents, while i dont have any definitive proof, are you denying having taken that sniper rifle and the 10 m107 mags and the camo suits? im sorry if i have wrongly accused anyone but if raiding each other camps is the way its gonna be played out then so be it.

To be fair the server has been pretty crowded lately from watching streams and hearing people talk thats all some people do is look for camps similar to heli crash sites

Ozii has the right frame of mind. Sooner or later regardless where or how you setup your camp it will get found. Even camps in the far north of the map have been found. It is all about spreading out your gear so what you do lose is not a big deal.

Yeah. I think it's pretty crazy to have massive camps with all your gear in it. A few of my friends stumbled upon a camp with 10+ tents the other day. They loaded up the best stuff in their atv and just flattened all the tents. Those guys most have been so mad. I think the way to go is to just have multiple camps on the map with just 2-3 tents each.

As far as I'm aware, yours was raided by some newly spawned randoms. I was browsing r/DayZ, and there was a post about somebody taking a boat and finding lots of tents on Atlanta 69. The post however now seems to be gone.

But even if the big groups share that info with each other that still leaves a huge % of the players in the dark. I'd bet that the majority of the stealing or camp raiding is done by randoms or random TLers who don't really know what to do/aren't on TS. I realize you can't just put a sticky at the top of this thread where all your camps are, that's just asking for trouble. Maybe there's a balance, like providing trusted, proven TLers on TS with a map of GENERAL locations of tents so that we can either avoid that area or help protect it by alerting someone if a bandit is spotted nearby - something like this maybe? + Show Spoiler +

Its a great idea but the problem that it goes almost directly against the game. From how rocket perceived the game to be the type of game you play solo. Seeing another player is supposed to be a coin flip at best if it will go well for you. I don't think he expected people to "group up" in the first place. After all this is an Alpha and there will be more change but as it sits the game is more focused on that "I am out for myself" mindset. Only way I see a way to get groups working together is to build up trust. Unfortunately earning trust from people is not that easy and I myself do not trust easily.

warri to anwser your question you can tell when ppl are inspecting a pile or loot or looking at their backpack and using binoculars, not sure about map
2nd yes zombies are attracted to sounds you make over direct chat in game and also drinking and eating sounds, rocket has stated that they can hear this

If anyone wants a passworded channel set up, PM me here or just ask me on TS if I'm on.
I'll give you admin over the channel I set up so that you can set your own passwords. I'll delete any inactive groups, and just don't exclude people for example if everyone is in passworded groups and 1 noob comes on, he's going to have no clue what to do, how to play with other guys etc.
Please just be willing to play with strangers, I understand not if you have high quality gear / are at your tent location, but be reasonable
In regards to people stealing shit, unless you tell us your tent locations we can't really stop people grabbing it since we don't know whose it is. Just tell me/Darkenergy/Cee/bk and we'll make sure if someone finds the tents while we are on then we can tell them to leave it alone. Don't discuss locations in threads, otherwise anyone can grab it.
If any lone wolf or small group wants a specific weapon then we can trade or even gift, we like tents, rare tools and >medium rare weapons.
Oh and don't bother TS admins like TL staff with requests (unless they're fine with it ofc) - I have full control over the channel, as does DarkEnergy and Tofucake.
