i spawn in at a shack next to the clock tower in cherno. try to go looking for some people since i've read that tl members are pretty nice on there. i crouch run out of my shack over to a crumbled wall. ah, coast clear. run over to the archway right next to my crumbled wall. hey i hear a zombie very close... i'll let him walk past me and i'll pop him in the head with my 1911. waiting.... he's getting closer.... BAM. next thing i know there's this crazy fuck with a hatchet that appeared right where the zombie should have been and is crouching down trying to hack me away while screaming "DIEEEEEE MOTHAFUCKAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" "DIEEEEEEEEE". so i run the fuck out of there to get out of his range. he chases after me yelling "YEEEAH YOU BETTER FUCKING RUN AWAY YOU COWARD I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU HAHAHAHA --" CRACK. the guy chased me just long enough for me to switch weapons, turn around, and put a round from my enfield into his head. wasn't really expecting to get a bandit kill in my first two minutes on the TL server. but hopefully he's not some pest that keeps coming back. kind of a moron. | ||

You can download it all you want for no extra charge. You cant play it however  Dont you have a friend who has arma + dayz so you can try it out? Besides arma is dirt cheap. Just think what people throw away for shit games these days. Like Diablo III for what.. 60 euro? Get outa here. | ||

Died a few times last night but i am on a good run now, headed to deer stands and basically camped it until i got a weapon, then i headed into one of the lesser towns in the north and got some supplies! seems like in 1.7.2 you can't goto towns unless you want to agro 50 zombies. i agro'ed one in my small town and my chara now has 32 zombie kills.. as i was stuck in a house just shooting off clip after clip of enfield as i was trapped.. didnt help when they came through the walls of the house.. scary ass shit. Currently lagged out though so i don't know if i am dead.. does anybody know if the zombies respawn in a town if you kill them all? the learning curve of this game is insane.. getting annoyed with the pistol hatchet and not being able to carry more than one gun  i found an AKM but had no ammo, so instead of carrying it i had to disgard it because i saw an enfield with ammo.. oh well | ||

One thing to note is that since it is a mod you can't "demo" it. Thats like saying hey I want to Demo DOTA on WC:FT. If 30$ is really a lot of money, maybe people should look into spending that money elsewhere more wisely afterall its just a game. 30$ in gas to get to a from work is money well spent in my mind. | ||

I think the hours you get out of any game are so worth it as long as you play that game for long enough .. thats why i dont mind paying 50 quid for a decent game..I have already put at least 10 hours into dayz i recon so thats like a bargin 2.50 an hour for my fun? ill take that. | ||

Stood in a red brick house and accidently aggroed a single zed. No problem I thought. Ill just kill it... with my fucking loud enfield. Suddenly i was swarmed from both sides. Ended up clearing one entrance and I just ran for the hills. I guess I got around 25 kills from that stunt. Did the same thing in Cherno church. Some guy ran for his life into the building. Just wanted to help the guy by killing the zeds.. Only made it worse. I actually switch the enfield out for the doublebarreled shotgun quite often, since its more silent. I usually play on ch:off servers though, so i like guns with proper iron sight. which the shotgun doesnt have at all :/ | ||

 The crosshair though.. I dunno. I feel people get triggerhappy just because they have an ever present crosshair. So I feel more safe when playing on servers with ch:off, because people really need to be more cautious. Zeds are also more of a pain to take out when you cant just hip-shot everything. | ||

Also pretty sure someone tried to kill me with a crossbow. I was looting a backpack in a warehouse in electro when i suddenly notice a yellowish arrow on the ground next to me that i think wasnt there before. | ||

First, a little back story. After a few days of not playing after I had died, I respawned with zero items and in debug forest or whatever. I ran and ran and eventually got out and was slowly dying of thirst when I thankfully stumbled upon Pushtoshka. I was looting the city, finding random supplies and as I went to the church I heard somebody shooting away with their AK. I decided to camp the church and wait for the guy with the AK to come.. I waited for around 5 minutes, all the while hearing him mowing down zombies. I figured I would wait for him to enter the church and hopefully catch him unawares and take his gear, seeing as I had basically nothing but a hatchet, a Lee, a magnum, some cokes and some painkillers. Anyways he's getting closer and closer and as he's shooting some zombies I hear two sniper shots and the gun fire from his AK stops and I see somebody has died on the server. So I wait in the church more and more, waiting to see if the sniper might come in for whatever reason after looting the body. No way in hell am I going to try and fight him in the open, not even knowing where he is. So after about 5 or so more minutes of waiting I decide to log off, go onto a different server and go into the woods just south of the town and log back onto the original server. I log on, hoping that I chose the his correct sniping spot (I never actually got a look at where he was, just judging from the gunshots) and just after a minute or so of slowly walking around I see a guy crawling around just beneath the treeline about 30 meters away from me. I shoot him with my Lee, miss and he crawls behind a rock. I run around and kill him, and sure enough he's got a DRM + ammo + bunch of gear. Soooo, was what I did super dirty, smart or just cheap as hell? I feel pretty dirty but there's no way in hell am I running up blindly with a bunch of zombies hoping to try and get the drop on some sniper watching the entire town. | ||

They have to make your character serverside , so if you change servers you have a different char there... or do something else to fix situations like this , as it is now you just cant camp somewhere with your saved stuff as anyone could walk there in another server , log on yours and take everything for free. | ||

I can see why it was smart in your position since you were the underdog, but people abuse it alot. Serverhopping for a better position and esc+alt f4 to avoid death is what makes this game annoying for the larger part of players. | ||
