I've played about 50 games so far and I'm really hoping this game picks up. It's still in early beta (according to their FAQ, they're looking for a Q1-2013 release) but I'm loving it so far. There are some major map and champion balance issues that need to be addressed, but those are minor to the highly optimized servers (like 3 second load in time, wtf) and action-packed gameplay. I've been having so much fun.
Agreed, the game has amazing potential and I hope it goes far. Looks like a ton of keys are being handed out as well so the player base is growing!

I got really into it, and I always hated playing mobas, so they must be doing something right (or wrong, depending on your perspective I guess  )
I like that there's a level of physicality and precision, a lot of things is more difficult to do correctly (aiming, last hitting, positional awareness etc) than in comparable games. There's an actual mechanical feeling to the game, not as much as I would have liked myself, but still it's a positive thing imo.

I would like to suggest, for those who are new to Smite and the game that you guys check out the following information:

* In Game Controls
I found that this information is very helpful to people who are learning the game. There are also a lot of changes being made on that wiki. Its very up to date.

hirezchris was in one of the twitch tv streams yesterday that was playing smite and was chatting with the other people watching the stream and when asked how many accounts where in beta at the moment, they said 200k so far. That is pretty good for it being in beta for a month.

If anyone could PM me a key I'll be forever grateful I tried DOTA2 but didn't like it as much as LoL, but from the looks of this game it is very promising and different.

What was nerfed? I was planning to buy Guan Yu as my first hero, but if he has nerfed badly, I guess I'll go for odin instead...

Any idea what this means? tried the repair tool and googling but can't figure it out at all. Happens as soon as I open the launcher after it tries to update.

What item builds are people using for Odin? I just got him and tried him using the auto-buy option and while he was tanky beyond belief, I found him pretty boring to play since his damage was ridiculously low, you were more or less a bullseye with utility... felt more like a dota hard support than anything else. I mean yeah, it's fun to be ganked by 3 people and escape, but running around granting movement buffs... not so much. So does anyone have any build with more focus on damage?
Also, this game seriously needs to get a system to stop leavers, preferably like dota 2. Played like 6 games today, had leavers in 5.
