Sega states they are taking the issue "very seriously" and "investigating". They also apologized for any who are offended. It wouldn't surprise me if a non-campaign version of CoH2 were made available. Russian and CIS citizens can still purchase an online version of the game. Sega just wants to make sure none of this costs them any Rome2 sales. They are protecting the Sega brand.

The community is minuscule, and CoH 1 outshines this game in almost every way.

I always said I would buy it if it came out on Steam, but you know what... even £19 seems a bit too much for this game. The beta was so generous I almost played it too much and got burned out!

Sega is starting to squeeze CoH's most loyal fans for every possible dollar. First the Relic community figurehead guy claims sales of the game are super great and amazing. a few weeks later... they need paid DLC to keep the game going. It is even present during the campaign. "input lag" undercuts any of the positives the game has. The Collector's Edition and Pre-Order customers are no longer getting any additional "paid DLC" for free. Sega is really leaning on the games biggest fans and getting some real Relic loyalists to question their motives.

http://www.coh2.org/topic/8400/new-commanders-units-discussion/page/18 its curious that the "community figureheads" used to regularly visit this thread to defend the game and its virtues. Now, they are no where to be found.

Now, they are no where to be found. They are too busy apologizing to everyone and explaining how "it's a process" and it's all good that we can all learn from this. lamprey1 .. please don't give me the "I told you so" line... it's getting to be a bit much..we get it, You Said It First!

The complete lack of refinement or even keeping the strengths of CoH1, which was an awesome game, especially in its vanilla state before OF, really makes this a lackluster game. Combine this with the serious issues of Rome2 will make me very hesitant the next time I see the Sega brand on a new game I'd consider otherwise.

I keeping hearing about these ROME 2 issues , what are they and how do they effect COH2 ?
