I am thinking of building a swarm deck around Cannelle by using only size 2 followers and buffing them. Cannelle's ability should +atk/+sta all of them at the start of the turn. What can I do to make sure opponent has a high size card at the start of the turn?

I should put in high STA / low ATK followers to make sure they survive and does not kill off the opponent's high size followers.

Any suggestions are welcome.

You could use the standard size up spells/followers.
http://swogitools.com/card.php?id=200122
http://swogitools.com/card.php?id=200016

Or you could have the high size follower and use minds in conflict, swap spell.

To avoid killing off opponent's high size followers you could run deactivation cards like pacifism, wind slash, entry denied, comfort.
No I'm never serious.

So is there like a Deck Point limit in ladder play?

Just started. I'm an OCG noob, but had nothing better to do this weekend, so giving this a shot.

TL/SG:

Qaatar/Quane

Edit:

Don't know if anyone else is annoyed by the resolution of the Flash player. The text is tiny, and there's no way that I can enlarge or magnify the window without using a program like SwiffOut, which temporarily applies the window resolution of SG to my system. Not very helpful, since I'm also multitasking, and can't handle 800x600 windows of other programs while I'm running SG.

Perhaps anyone here has a different solution?

Wow, major fail for trying to beat Pegasus with Child Sigma. Although it was fun trying to figure out whether Child would cycle my card first to make evens/odds, or whether Pegasus would use his ability first (apparently they take turns going first?), I made that boss 10x harder than it needed to be.

-_-

I'm an idiot. Now I have to go through 30 levels of that dungeon again.

I didn't see the option to back out and adjust my deck first, so it was pointless to try again using Child. It was my fault of course; I definitely should have read up on the boss first before attempting him.

just keep playing followers instead of buffing single followers. Swarm baby swarm.

He was actually really easy once I swapped out Child for any other character. All I had to do was play a follower smaller than size 6 in slots 2 and/or 4, and keep either 1, 3, or 5 cards in my hand. Since he doesn't have swap spell, and a follower smaller than 6 isn't affected by Mother Demon, I just snowballed that one follower and it destroys him in 6-8 turns.

Yup.

When I started a few days ago, I did all of the quests that rewarded tokens, then spent 10 bucks to buy 1000 for just enough to get the deluxe starter pack in order to obtain Child Sigma asap. I've been grinding dungeons ever since. Child is apparently really strong for semi-afk mindless dungeon grind while I multitask.

Just trying to gather enough resources for some good rares, then I'm going to start PvP'ing.

A few good rares won't really win you any pvp matches.

On another note, blue cross decks are about to get really really strong.

Also the silver booster is bugged right now in a rather advantageous manner. If you get the bronze booster first, and you then get a silver booster, you get a flare. I've gotten 8 in a row now. All 7 point uncommons. Not a bad deal.

Explain the bug right now? Where is the silver booster? Are you talking about shop? I only see shop based on Episode, not silver and bronze.

It's a bug with the rng on sigma dungeon. Where after the win, if you buy a silver booster, it has a stupidly disproportionate chance of getting you "flare."

Hmm, any advice then? From what I've read, it seems like good rares are the basis of any good deck. I'm also trying to get Hero Luthica as well. What else would I need? Or, is it just a problem with Crux in the current metagame? Many have been complaining about Crux as being underpowered in high DP PvP.

The main problem is that crux really doesn't have a path to victory at 200-250 dp. It's just way too easy to shut down an uberbuffed follower as any other faction. Even as far as buffs go, vita and dl both have ways of matching your buffs straight up.

As far as swarming goes, you are at a pretty decent advantage under 150 dp. Once you get above that, you can include too much removal into your deck and suddenly swarms fall to a well-placed crackdown/misfit/fatal blow/mass recall/etc...

Spam Blue Cross and Enemy Within + Degradation. No one packs misfit. Fatal blow and crackdown are rare (probably won't see at that DP). Knight Swarm (Prea, Medic Knight) dodges Morals Crackdown and reverse defense followers nicely if you're really worried about it. Careful about packing too many Education Results or "discard" cards when you're swarming, you can deck out quickly.

Mass Recall is awful though. Meteor Call is painful too. Could try Brilliant Brain, but it likely isn't worth it. Dress Luthica is awesome for swarms. Sentry's Testimony (Knight Swarm) and Quick Service are too. (Actually Quick Service is awesome in general).

Sinclair is a good rare to start with. Great all-rounder.

So I've been playing for a while now managed to make couple rare cards and closing to 200 wins but when on earth is ladder open? I've not managed to join it once, and I almost never get human opponents in matches either.

Also I finally bothered with clearing a dungeon other than Nold one, got ton of rewards for beating the Bamboo dungeon, is this a first time kill thing only or do you get a lot of rewards each clear?

Would Hero Luthica be a good card to save towards, or should I just go after Dress Luthica and prioritize my mats for other rares? Seems like Hero wouldn't be very good for swarming as the potential for -6 every turn is lessened by the nature of swarm play. On the other hand, -6 seems pretty overpowered in a standard Crux deck as it bypasses the standard anti-buffing capabilities of other factions.

Of course, the other obstacle is that the Hero card alone is going to require weeks of grind.

Ty for the advice guys.

The rewards for each Dungeon doubles after your 10th clear (when you get the boss card).

This is a good information thread on dungeons in general: http://www.swordgirlsonline.com/forum/showthread.php?2457-Boss-Decks-and-Rewards
