I've got my black knight sword + 3 and im wearing stone armour helm and some random red skirt with havel's ring. I have pyromancy at +12. I'd say you should upgrade the black knight sword to +5 since it's such a good weapon, then a bit more vit if you feel you need it, then end to 40 to wear good armor(upgrade it!), then finish vit. Finally flame and str(whichever damage you want first). Upgrading equipment is far, far, far more important than levels. A few more levels in vit/end will help though so you can wear heavier armor. I also aimed for Greatsword of Artorias as my weapon of choice without realizing the huge stat requirements for using it (and having to kill Sif lol). Not sure what I should do now, I'm grinding on the Silver Knights to level up my stats a bit more, but I'm thinking of maybe getting Quelaag's Furysword to help my damage output at the moment and get Greatsword of Artorias later, cause I'm still using the lightning spear from Sen's Fortress and that's not doing a whole lot for me. Your level is ok(though grinding a bit won't hurt), what you need is to upgrade your equipment(though lightning spear will suck against Ornstein). The boss of Anor Londo is a pain no matter what you do, just because there's two of them to fight. The furysword might help a bit, but it's a weapon that takes some getting used to. Or you could use dung pies to toxic them and then just dodge until they die ![]()

Nobody cares about points or this or that. They want fair duels.

Why must life be hard Once you get good at the combat weapons are more about preference of moveset than anything else. You can still use that sword if you really like it, almost every weapon is viable. It's just mediocre and doesn't really have anything on any other greatsword/ultra greatsword aside from it's meh special heavy attack until you level really really high, and then it's potentially the strongest weapon(though the damage is still split and therefore much less effective). I'd personally go for any other greatsword (regular, ultra, or curved) over it though, lots of them have cooler attributes, special moves, versatility, and damage. The other artorias sword made with his soul even lets you do his spin slashes and somersaults xD.

I wasn't saying it's unfair. You just asked why he didn't do it. And we told you. As the poster above said, as long as you're prepared for it, someone spamming WoG should be a non-issue.

Something can be discovered as broken and they will patch it in the future. It's not like DWGR or Elemental Weapons weren't broken for MONTHS. I just don't get this logic, to you nothing in the game could be discovered as broken because it hasn't been nerfed yet, while other things have...herpyderp. I'm not even saying WotG is necessarily broken, but your argument is blergh.

Technically elemental weapons weren't actually broken before pc version tweaks, which is what most of the changes were, just tweaks. While I do agree in most games that you use what is available to win, dark souls is great because it lets you use what you prefer since almost everything is viable, and the unwritten rules are more about courtesy than limiting the game. For instance, someone that waits for you bow to them and instead of bowing back just runs around and backstabs you is just a douchebag rather than an actual strategist. Between the boxer that graciously shakes you hand/bumps fists before the fight and the jackass who while shaking with one hand, punches you in the face and kicks you in the balls, more people will actually enjoy playing with and as the former. Griefing always gets frowned upon in every game.
