I also aimed for Greatsword of Artorias as my weapon of choice without realizing the huge stat requirements for using it (and having to kill Sif lol). Not sure what I should do now, I'm grinding on the Silver Knights to level up my stats a bit more, but I'm thinking of maybe getting Quelaag's Furysword to help my damage output at the moment and get Greatsword of Artorias later, cause I'm still using the lightning spear from Sen's Fortress and that's not doing a whole lot for me. You always have to kill sif, even if you don't want to ![]()

First, you can summon Solaire (or another player) to help you with O+S. That should be a big help. Second, if you bought the smithbox from Andre to reinforce your weapons/armor at bonfires, you can build up some other item you've found along the way like a Silver Knight's Sword or Painting Guardian Sword, whatever you have the stats to wield. The Giant Blacksmith near the boss room sells Titanite Shards (and even Twinkling Titanite) if you need them. Third, Smough is weak against lightning so you may want to try killing him first, and if you have summoned an ally this becomes a little easier so Ornstein has another target to fight. And lastly, if you really feel that you're stuck, you can return to Sen's Fortress by going back to where the bats carried you. Talk to the bat perched on the wall and they'll carry you back to Sen's, and you can get back to Anor Londo the same way you first arrived.

I tried to get really far in the demon ruins but those taurus demons were motherfuckers. Now it looks like I'm in for some pain.

With lingering dragoncrest ring it lasts 1.5x longer and as such lowers the rate of HP drain. Effectively making that a no issue.

I've been bashing my head against Super Ornstein for a day and a half now, and finally decided to ask Solaire for help. However, I'm getting invaded almost every time I try to make it to the fog... I feel like a jackass alt-f4'ing whenever the invasion message pops up, but I'm running low on humanity here. Signing out of GFWL gives me a warning about progress not being saved, so that doesn't seem like the way to go.

It's the way the game works, being able to summon other people and NPC's to decrease the difficulty is offset by the risk of invaders. In all honesty it's probably in your best interest to try and get some PvP experience in, don't forget that beating an invader (Unless it's a darkmoon) will also grant you 1 humanity. If you're really that scared of it you can pull out your internet cable or w/e and force the game into offline mode.

All jokes aside if you can summon a human phantom they can usually help you 2v1 the invader.
