Does anyone know exactly when this announcement is supposed to be? It's sometime today if I understood it correctly, but I don't know when and in which timezone. They did say in the next 24 hours didn't they? edit: maybe I misunderstood the announcement, it wasn't about BG? It was just an announcement for that pong thingy? Yeh im pretty sure was just the pong competition might not seem as good for baldurs gate fans but really big for atari hopefully they are doing something with baldurs gate 3 but at the moment twitter for atari saying pong is all their news

And there have been other post-IE games that were awesome: Knights of the Old Republic (and KotOR 2, although not as much) The Temple of Elemental Evil Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer This were all great RPGs (and I'm sure I've forgotten some other good titles). Not arguing with Oblivion, though I personally could never enjoy Morrowind (I acknowledge it's a great game, though). KotoR, Arcanum and Bloodlines are games I've also spent a long time with. I just wanted to point out that calling everyone who liked Skyrim a "fucking noob who hasn't kept up with the scene" is ... well, plain stupid.

I doubt Trent Oster would "play along" with that random troll if that was the case? Go check is twitter as I've said, or his blog and beamdog. ![]()

Too bad it was only an expansion instead of an actual sequel. I played Planescape late last year and didn't like it as much. It's just not my style. It did remind me how terrible the Infinity Engine's inventory management, pathfinding and collision are. PS:T is much less of a "game" then BG. the fighting is rare, limited and not very exciting most of the time. but if you like a good story, good characters, amazing dialogue and a damn cool world then PS:T is on par with BG. i had more fun in the 30 minutes of talk with ravel then i had with the whole of DA2. <.<

Story is continued to it's conclusion. High Level Abilities and high level ruleset is added.

Evidently, this is the project of a former Bioware guy's new studio, Beamdog, and is in no way related to the BG2 Steam release. Anxious to see what it is.

It looks like the announcement is actually just a contest to develop a mobile version of pong. Winner gets 100k. Edit: Oops, read the whole thread ... see that it was mentioned already, my bad.

It's a lot shorter than a full game, thus an expansion. They did claim they didn't have enough material for a full sequel but I doubt that considering the main story path in BG 1 and 2 are pretty short.

Wait what, MM8 in the same breath as Arcanum or Vampire? Just no. They somehow made a sequel game graphically look worse than the previous one (MM7 For Blood and Honor) and far more unbalanced with dragons added as class. If any MM should be listed it's 6 or 7, preferably none when you look at the other games you listed.

The story teller's one, which speak between acts is really good too. Since French version are always terrible compared to VO in series it must be said!^^ Omg Greatest RPG ever I have chills evertime I think about it! PS : Bouh is boo in french^^ I havn't actually heard the French one, and I assume It would do me no good since I dont understand it too well. But I just wanted to mention that David Warner who does the Irenicus voice is incredible, and in my eyes Jon Irenicus is the best antagonist that exists in all the games I've played, almost solely based on Warners performance as a voice actor. In fact if I had to choose only one thing that makes BG2 such an incredible game, I'd say its his voice acting.
