I guess a good play with Mathews would be trying to snag Spiller and a good WR. Covers you on Jackson and lets the guy doing the trade think he is selling way high on Spiller.

Yea I ended up giving Maclin/Benson for Green-Ellis, feel really good about it. Had a friend just turn Alfred Morris into Chris Johnson. Haha, don't expect worlds from CJ but that's funny.

You have to start him every week, 'cause he could show off his old 09 self and go off, but usually he just breaks your heart...

Odd having Thursday night games so early in the season. Yea tonight is going to be a fantastic game. Agreed with CJ not worth drafting, but if you can get him from a cheap waiver, roll the dice. He can rest comfortably on the bench until the byes begin.

All I can think while watching these games is "look at that guy, playing football like a sir." Get rid of those stupid fucking collars on the shirts, Nike. What in the fuck was the designer thinking when they did that? (NOTE: If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google the Redskins uniforms. It's especially noticeable on their away jersey.) I'm surprised anyone remembers me anymore. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The only thoughts I have on week one are, 1) Peyton looked very good. I was thrilled to see the Broncos offense not look completely inept for this first time since 2007. 2) The Bears looked good on offense, but the defense left me wanting more. Too many third and long conversions against a bad offense, and Reggie Wayne was too open too often. Cutler needs to stop forcing passes to BMarsh too, it's going to come back and bite him in the ass in the RZ. Still, the way the Packers D played, they should light up that secondary, because they did NOTHING to better it in the off season. 3) It's been one week, anyone making judgments after it is not smart. Chill out and see how the next two weeks go. There are some teams with some carry over (see my GB note above), but all this talk about the Jets and Ravens needs to calm down. I have no idea if people here have been going nuts, because I didn't read anything except user names on the last two pages to see if anyone I recognized is still here. 4) Hi Hawk and nemY, your team looked dope on Sunday.

I only caught a bit of the Bears game, but I don't think the D has to play lights out anymore because the O looks pretty good. Then again, Colts. GB and Detroit are up over the next few weeks, and they will prove to be bigger tests. I thought the Niners looked great. I had a boner Sunday. I agree about waiting to see til about week 3-4 for having any solid judgements for most teams. I do think that Niners-Pack game did say a lot about both teams. How great the Niners D is, and how fucking awful the Pack D is/how much the Niner O improved (it was a combo of both there--seriously that d is atrocious) The Bills are still the Bills, even though I thought they'd be improved. That team had some good advanced stats early last season til Jackson got hurt. I don't buy the Jets at all. They're 8-8, 9-7 at best, and that is only because of the D. Their line still sucks ass, and there are still way better WC teams in the AFC. I think the Ravens are a talented team and a well coached team (outside of their shitty ocoord). A little old, but I think they will once again be in the playoffs for sure. I like them better than Pittsburgh tbh. Better line, run game is miles better, and they can pass. D's are about the same. I also think Cincy is a bit overrated. They're definitely better than average, good enough to lift some games off of good teams because of the D and some talent in Dalton and Green, but they're still young and Marvin Lewis is still the coach.

That D... jesus, what a disaster. I don't know what happened from a few years ago. But they cannot stop anyone at all, on the ground or in the air. The only thing they're any good at is pass rushing. Chicago is gonna be interesting too, because I still think their line is average at best. It is just masked by Cutler's play, Forte breaking out, and now Marshall giving Jay a legit option.

Personally the niner fan in me wants GB to win just to make the niners win over them worth more. Because i have about the same amount of love for both their teams, basically the love of all teams that don't play in a dome and don't use turf At least when i flip though the channels on sunday to see how Miami and Oakland are doing one of them will win for once, zing!
