Rex Grossman did too though... I wouldn't worry about Luck becoming the second coming of Rex Grossman until we see some soul-crushing brainfarts. Getting a QB ratings of 10.2, 1.3, and 0 takes effort. Especially when you also have games of 148 and 137.4 . That really is soul-crushing inconsistency. Didn't he re-set the record last year for consecutive games with an interception? That sounds about right.
On another note, man do the Niners look bad. Manning absolutely shredded the Niners' defense and made them look stupid. The pass rush was nowhere to be seen.
The Niners' isn't really inspiring any confidence either.
Hell, if I were a gambler, I'd consider betting heavily against the Niners this season.

Seahawks owning headlines. TO gets cut. Now with a trade of Tarvaris Jackson to Buffalo.

That's why I picked Manning in one of my drafts

Anquan Boldin Ray Rice Cedric Benson
DeSean Jackson LeSean McCoy Rashad Jennings
How does he think that looks remotely fair for me lol.

Damn you must be the one with Ray Rice. I love that guy but didn't manage to get him. Trying my balls off to get him. Doesn't look entirely like a bad trade. Jackson>Boldin. Smith should explode this year for the Ravens, fingers crossed he is this years Jordy Nelson. Jackson got paid, Vick loves him. Jennings has much more potential than Benson currently. Though that ends in a week when MJD reports. Benson might get the running lead, but its GB, they don't run. Or Arod does for the touchdowns. The number of TD's Rice gets should increase a fair amount this year. Both are respected beasts in a PPR league, basically left on personal preference on them.
Keep Rice and hold him dear.
More Seattle headlines. Russell Wilson earns the starting QB gig in the season opener against Arizona!

Nope, I'm the one with McCoy and the rest. I don't see this trade being fair for me... as I'd be getting Rice for basically two guys and a potential replacement for MJD.
|
I see. Yea he would need to up his part with Boldin. I'm so high on Rice though and would take him over McCoy. Eliminate the receivers from the trade and I would be quick to accept. I think Benson is likely they highest you would be able to trade up with Jennings. I'm not thinking MJD will miss anytime with his contract wants. Health reasons that's also rare. Jags aren't wanting to play ball with him on more money or trade, and he has already been fined upwards a million. So risk him sitting on the bench all season or trade him now for a decent flex.

Anquan Boldin looks to be a WR2 behind Torrey Smith this year, while DJax has started to become a favourite target for Nick Foles (cause lets face it, Vick is going to be injured half the time).

They're only ranked 1 apart, and the difference in their point output last year was essentially a passing TD and 400 more receiving yards (which were almost offset by the 5 extra TDs McCoy had). It's really lateral movement as far as I'm concerned there

It's really lateral movement as far as I'm concerned there Andy Reid is on record saying he worked McCoy a bit too much last season. So that might cost him some carries, plus the occasional TD snipe by Vick. Rice will continue being the majority of the Ravens offense with no real backup to take his touchdowns this year. Both are incredibly talented, as I said its a bit of personal preference on this trade. I just see Rice finishing on top again this year.

T.O. Released by the Seahawks looks the era of Diva Receivers is officially over in the NFL.
P.S. really like how my Ravens looked last game. Was a little worried but Flacco definitely help settle my worries. Just need to figure out who the 3rd WR is looks like Jacoby is probably the lock there with Laquan Williams as the 4th. Hope the TE's have a good year I'm pretty high on Ed Dickson guy is pretty good if he can stop his drops from last year he is a matchup nightmare.

Schaub, was basically the original. But the difference is that he flat-out outperformed Vick for a significant amount of time, across multiple seasons.
Schaub, Matt Hasselbeck, Delhomme, Mark Brunell (is he still in the league these days? lol), uhh Marc Bulger (was he traded?), I mean technically Brett Favre. Kurt Warner and Jeff Garcia were never traded, but they stepped in from time-to-time and out performed the starting QBs as well. It happens, but QBs really aren't traded that much and for every Schaub I feel like there's 3 Charlie Whitehursts/Kevin Kolbs.

Marc Bulger wasn't traded, just a journeyman QB.

Vontae Davis gets traded to the Colts for a 2nd and 6th round pick. I'm gonna miss the guy, thought he was becoming one of the top corners in the league, but apparently he was out of shape during OTA's and was playing the nickel in practice. Sad to see him go but at least the Fins got some value for him, God knows we need it.

Anquan Boldin Ray Rice Cedric Benson Laurent Robinson
DeSean Jackson LeSean McCoy Rashad Jennings
Dunno, considering I'm not trying to win this year this feels like things are going in the wrong direction, as I'm pretty hype about a rejuvenated DeSean possibly being a new keeper slot...

I see Laurent Robinson as a complete throwaway in that deal. He will be the #2 WR on what was a offensively inept offense in Jax. I just dont see his value at all in this proposed trade.
If you could somehow get Rice for McCoy (straight up) I would take it. Its the rest of that trade that I feel is bad for you.

Yeh, I think he's leveraging the perceived chasm in their value to try to get a good deal for himself, but these are all lateral/backwards movement for me ~_~ Especially because right now I just want to get a good set of 5 keepers, lol.

I honestly think they have a good shot at taking the NFC West, they had a really solid (somewhere around 10th) defence and Lynch is a stud, as long as Wilson plays even just a little like he has this preseason and the damn WRs and OL stay healthy for once I think they will do well.
Of course that could just be hometown bias talking and they are on their way to another 7-9 season lol.

The Lions seriously need to start shopping the league for a RB. Supplementing the running game with short passes to pettigrew isn't going to work forever...
