In the speech, a portion of which was captured by filmmaker Sean Pamphilon, Williams delivers a fiery, profanity-laced speech urging Saints players to inflict harm on several 49ers, including quarterback Alex Smith, running back Frank Gore, and wide receivers Michael Crabtree and Kyle Williams.
"At one point Williams says, 'We hit (expletive) Smith right there' -- then he points under his chin (and continues) -- 'remember me,' " Pamphilon told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports. "Then he rubs his thumb against his index and middle fingers -- the cash sign -- and says, 'I got the first one. I got the first one. Go get it. Go lay that (expletive) out.' "
There is an abridged, yet uncensored audio version of his speech, in which he can be heard mentioning intent to injure players. I will put the link in spoiler tags since the language is NSFW + Show Spoiler +
There's a portion in which he tells his players to make sure every person on the team is attacking the head [Alex Smith's] and implores every defensive player to "effect the head before you get off the pile." After hearing this I can't see him ever getting back into the NFL, and don't want him back.
edit; Here is a link to the blog of the the film maker, explaining in detail how he came about being there and why he is released the audio http://theusof.com/2012/04/tru-dat-gregg-williams-saints-audio-bountygate-pay-for-pain/

If the league took Vick back they'll take anyone back.

I'm very disappointed in the new Nike uniforms as I was hoping the Chargers would switch back to the powder blues (best uniforms in the NFL)
Navy is so ugly and generic

I think Gregg Williams is pretty fucked now. I personally dont have an issue with the "Kill the head" comments since I believe similar talk goes on in most every defensive locker room. However, I think he crossed the line when he singled out players and their previous injuries.

Personally the only thing that bothers me about the bounties now, is just how safe Peyton Manning will be. Record setting year for roughing the passer calls incoming.

I don't think many people in the NFL will care about the head talk (except the commish) since we only care about the present. No one cares that it might do something to you in 30 years. However, the reverse side of that is Williams also talked about taking out someones ACL, an immediate injury any athlete on Earth would dread. I'm sure even the most ferocious defensive players in the NFL have an objection to that type of talk.

Except in pretty much every case (outside of Gregg Williams) they are not telling you to actually injure someone's head. They are saying to legally hit someone so hard that it takes their head out of the game. So now the QB is looking over their shoulder at the backside rush rather than finding a receiver down field or the next time a receiver has a crossing route he is more interested in finding the LB trying to hit him rather than catching the ball. This concept goes far outside football as well.

This is exactly what I have been hearing from former and current players in the NFL for the most part. It was interesting listening to Mike Golic tell a story where a coach of his told the offensive linemen to perform an illegal chop block on a defensive end on the first play after halftime. The coach wanted to take the DE back out of the game after he had been shaken up. Apparently the O-linemen gave the most half-assed attempt at the coaches demand and then moved onto the next play.
Obviously Goddell cares since the NFL is facing a massive lawsuit by former players and this tape sounds terrible from a PR perspective. But I honestly dont think 99% of the NFL would have blinked twice at the tape if Williams didnt single out players and attacking their injuries.

Tannehill emerging as the great enigma of this draft. Will he go to the browns? Slip to the dolphins? Will teams trade up to get him ? Tannehill's hype has gone up like a rocket. Time will tell if his skills will match.

Browns should build out of Colt McCoy. No sense in getting another new QB who is just going to be lost in a system with zero weapons or protection. Build up the offense around Colt and wait for the chance to draft or pick up a better QB in the FA than Tannehill. Tannehill to Dolphins imo

Schedules have been posted, most say I really like the Seattle's schedule. Watching those big teams come in will be great and Tebow! Add into the mix of a Flynn v Rodgers MNF match, so ready for this season.

I was really set on Miami going out and getting an OL or something to fortify that Right side, but with the massive amounts of fail they've had in Free Agency I really hope they can rope in Tannehil. I trust Moore with 1-2 more years. He proved he's at least a .500 QB with those weapons and a fully healthy Daniel Thomas should help Bush throughout the season more.

http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/7846290/new-orleans-saints-mickey-loomis-eavesdrop-opposing-coaches-home-games
NEW ORLEANS -- The U.S. Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Louisiana was told Friday that New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis had an electronic device in his Superdome suite that had been secretly re-wired to enable him to eavesdrop on visiting coaching staffs for nearly three NFL seasons, "Outside the Lines" has learned.
Sources familiar with Saints game-day operations told "Outside the Lines" that Loomis, who faces an eight-game suspension from the NFL for his role in the recent bounty scandal, had the ability to secretly listen for most of the 2002 season, his first as general manager of the Saints, and all of the 2003 and 2004 seasons. The sources spoke with "Outside the Lines" under the condition of anonymity because of fear of reprisals from members of the Saints organization.
Jim Letten, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana, acknowledged being told of the allegations Friday and has briefed the FBI in New Orleans about Loomis' alleged activity, according to sources. If proven, the allegations could be both a violation of NFL rules and potentially a federal crime, according to legal sources. The federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) of 1986 prohibits any person from intercepting communications from another person using an electronic or mechanical device.
EDIT: However, there are statue of limitations for federal crimes. He won't be charged federally if it was only up until the 2004 season, as it's been more than 5 years or whatever since the crime was allegedly committed. However, Goodell has no statue of limitations and will probably fuck them over even harder if this comes out to be true =/

Wow. Unbelievable. Don't even know what to say. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I bet everyone does it.

Ironically enough, the reason this alleged action did not occur after 2004 was due to Katrina. It apparently knocked out the wiring and it never got fixed.

Loomis asked for proof and was denied. So far this is pure speculation without any investigation to it yet. I'm pessimistic about the results but there's nothing condemning yet.
|
No proof.
It's just a fucking witch hunt right now, rofl.
(Yes, I am a Saints fan, but I do think Gregg Williams was a scumbag who sucked at coaching defense anyways.)

Brian Dawkins announced his retirement today. He is one of my all time favorite players. He was a beast on the field, a great leader and a class act. I hope Philly signs him to a one day contract so he can retire an Eagle
