My wife and I grew up as Cowboy's fans, but the running joke for a while now has been 2 things:
1. Jerry Jones is the greatest marketing guru in the world. For 14 years he's tricked everyone into believing the Cowboys are real contenders.
2. The Cowboys do just enough to give you freaking hope, and then they find a way to rip your heart out.
Seriously, they come back from an improbable 4th and 10 to score a touchdown. Then the ball bounces off of Byrant's shoulder pads for a failed 2 pt conversion. THEN they recover the onside kick, only to blow the field goal. A very_very makable 50 yard field goal.
Once again the Cowboys lose in true Cowboy's fashion and our running joke continues to be painfully true T.T;
(Ironic(?) that Bryant is once again at the center of the ripping of the heart out)
As I have said all season long. If Denver can play a first half, they are going to dominate the league. 34-7 as of typing this. Dominant performance vs one of the best offensive teams in the league. All the people talking about how questionable Denver's defense is/was were obviously not watching the game or paying any attention to the situations which took place on the field. It's hard to not give up points when half the drives start at your 30 yard line. Tonight, they've held on to the ball (save for the one fumble, AGAIN WILLIS!), and given the Saints long fields, and it's been a beat down all night. They're putting the rest of the teams on notice with tonight's performance.
Would Cleveland be the most depressing 'sports town' to live in? I mean, having the Browns (who suck), Indians (who are meh) and the Cavaliers (who now suck without LeBron) would be pretty bad.

I dunno, we lost to the Browns today. That's gotta mean something.

As someone from Kansas City, I think we can give you a good run for your money.
Wow, the first time I've felt bad for the Cowboys... ever. That was a phenomenal catch and there's really not much more he could have done. To concentrate on that kind of catch and then immediately tuck his arm under his ass and hope his cheeks land square or something? That's a little too ridiculous to expect. So his hand barely landed in the white, and then he suffered a bruising from the fall. That sucks man.
Oh, and if New Orleans would have won, I would have won the office pool.

They suddenly became a questionable defense, because they're aging and were giving up 20+ points a game. But all these "experts" ignored the field position the offense kept giving them when they turned the ball over at their own 15-40 yard line all the time. It's difficult to not give up some kind of points when the D only has 40 yards to work with. What would otherwise be a small mistake ("We'll get them next play!") is suddenly massive in deep minus territory.

Not fucking close. Minnesota. the state of hockey where the wild sucks ass every year the timberwolves are the most ilrelevant fucking team you've ever seen. the twins that can't figure out how to get past the rebuilding phase the vikings who are always chokeing on the hype like its going out of style. lets put this in perspective. When is the last time that a team from Minnesota has won the title? we have all 4 major league sports going in Minnesota and the only THE ONLY team to have won the title is the twins twice WAY back in the day like 30 -40 years ago. Shits fucking depressing around here.
Also we get to have winter every fucking year. I got half a foot today. cleveland an't got shit on winter.

Cleveland classifies as the most delusional "sports town". Every year they are winning the Super Bowl, NBA Championship, or World Series until half way through the season when it reverts to "There's always next year". Rinse and Repeat. This has been my life for the past 8 years.

As an Ohio boy, I've gotta say you don't know shit about Ohio winters.
Cleveland, OH (housing, pop. 444,313): 56.9 in Minneapolis, MN (housing, pop. 372,833): 49.9 in Source
Unless you're living in Duluth, Cleveland compares pretty favorably. And you're really gonna try and trump the self-hating "Mistake by the Lake"? The town that taught everyone why beer ought to cost more than 10 cents and that Art Modell is a huge prick? (I won't even touch LeBron) Maybe you are right though, I've only visited the Twin Cities a few times

That D is made perfect for a Peyton offense. Great pass rush, pretty solid secondary. It's like the colts d during their championship year. It is built to work with a 1-2 score lead and never give it up
The Giants prove it every week: a great pass rush makes up for so many other things.
in other news, I won in one fantasy league by a .1 margin lol.
I am pissed man. TL league i am getting dick stomped again. Every other league, I am killing it. I have three 5-3 teams, with one being the best team by far and the other two being top 3 teams as far as roster talent.
