For the millionth time, how can you be overrated when everybody thinks you're not good? People disliking Tebow says more about them than Tebow. I don't recall people telling Vince Young he should be ashamed of himself for trying to pursue an NFL career.
Pretty sad for the Cowboys that right when they look like they have something to build on they get a couple of huge injuries.

There are a ton of people who think he is great though, and that he is just being denied a chance now

No, Sanchez isn't a stud like Manning or a celebrity like Romo (who is becoming increasingly unpopular), but I don't think he's a bad QB, or a bad guy.

Sanchez isn't terrible, but people remember Brad Johnson winning a superbowl with the Bucs defense and Trent Dilfer with the Ravens, so Jets fans (and other football fans) weren't huge fans of Sanchez's skill when he couldn't accomplish the same feat (especially given where he was drafted/what they traded to get him). That defense was fucking incredible those two years, the running game wasn't awful- their passing game really was. That Jets team was a capable game manager away from winning (or at the very least making) the superbowl.

I would say the same thing about the Ravens over the last few years. I've always wondered why Joe Flacco doesn't receive the same amount of criticism for being sometimes quite bad in big playoff games.

And this is the reason why I say Joe Flacco blows. I know I'm pretty much the only person saying that, but at least someone does!
To be fair, he's better than Suckchez.

Sanchez isn't terrible, but his performance has definitely brought the Jets down over the past few years. He's 64/58 on TD/INT since he started, which is abysmal for a "franchise quarterback," and he hasn't been able to push over 60% completion percentage after all his experience and being spoon-fed six games a year of shitty pass defenses from the rest of the AFC East.
Is he the worst QB in the league? No, of course not, far from that. Is he a rusty cog in the wheel in the otherwise well-oiled machine that is the Jets? Yes.
edit: btw, for reference, Flacco is 89/52 over 5 years, and people shit all over him. Carson Palmer has a higher completion percentage and only a marginally worse TD/INT ratio since signing with Oakland... Sanchez is BAD.

Until Gabbert gets dethroned from the Jaguars, I don't think Sanchez will be the worst starting QB in the league.

There seem to be quite a few Seahawk fans here. My question to you is: how committed are you to Russell Wilson? If RW is a total disaster this Sunday at Detroit and Pete Carroll makes a QB change during the bye week, would you be upset at all?
And by total disaster I mean worst performance of ANY QB this season. Something like 6 for 22 with 3 INT and a fumble. This is an interesting issue to me because some of my friends are already 100% committed to Wilson being the franchise for the next decade. I, for one, am cautiously optimistic but still not ready to call it a sealed deal.

In Tebow's defense, his receiving corps in Denver wasn't that great...didn't they lead the league in dropped passes last season or something like that?

He is, by all accountable metrics, and incredibly bad QB. Going to the AFC championship game a couple years in a row doesn't make him, specifically, good.

Brad Johnson actually played a really good year of football the year the Buccs won. Gruden's always been a pretty solid offensive coach and he got the most out of Johnson, kind of like Harbaugh and Smith today. Dilfer is and always will be bad.
That said, Sanchez's playoff performances are pretty good, in the game manager sense. He's just complete ass in the regular season and was the primary reason the Jets backed into the playoffs both years instead of being a legit contender.

If this doensn't spell the end of sanchez and the start of tebow time I don't know what will. Other notes, Tannehills injury sucks and miami still owns versus the run.

That D-coordinator change really did the trick in Philly.
