Loved seeing Arizona lose. I don't know why I dislike them. I was pretty pumped when I heard Seattle hit a long TD to beat the Patriots. It's about time Sidney Rice started earning all that money they gave him. Watching the highlights just now was a great reminder of how terrible the Patriots defense is. The secondary blew so many deep coverages in that game. If only Russel Wilson was two inches taller. It's apparent that his height is a disadvantage to him in the pocket, but he seems good at making minor shifts to find a viewing lane and launch the ball.

So I guess NE's pass defense is just SO bad that it made Russell Wilson look like great QB. He was hitting receivers deep. But, they were getting plenty of separation.

So I guess NE's pass defense is just SO bad that it made Russell Wilson look like great QB. He's making typical rookie mistakes, from what I've seen (and I've tried to catch as much Seahawks football as possible this year, because I like Wilson), which negatively effects his passer rating, but he's not playing as badly as his stats are when you watch the throws he makes. The height disadvantage is getting to him, I think, and in general the speed of the game, etc, all the stuff rookies struggle with. He's had to go against some pretty good defenses, and really good pass rushes all season long: Arizona (good all around D), Dallas (good pass rush with D Ware), Green Bay (Again, good pass rush with Matthews), St. Louis (Good all around D, solid rush). Then he got Carolina and New England. His line isn't helping him in a lot of situations. There was a particular situation vs Carolina where his line collapsed in under 2 seconds, he escaped pressure and made a great throw to Lynch who bobbled the pass, which was subsequently intercepted. His other INT in that game was a forced pass that he should have thrown with more arch. Obviously a great game today... this discussion really makes me want to buy NFL Rewind, haha. In other news, Ray Lewis may be done for the season with a torn triceps. Lardarius Webb also injured. Yeah, as much as GB is a talented team that plays poorly a lot, and they should be able to compete with any team, any week... Houston is playing really poorly right now, imo.
