Surely it would be more beneficial to have it on pc so the userbase can actually communicate with eachother? By entering the PS3 market with an exclusive FPS title, not only does EVE tap into the console money pot, but they also appeal to the dedicated PS3 fans (See Killzone). Also from what I understand PSN is easier to integrate probably. (ALL GUESSES NO CITATIONS OR EVIDENCE TO BACK UP CLAIMS)

But Microsoft refused to allow integration from the eve severs to xbox live (which is really a core concept of dust) So they just went 100% with ps3. Will be really nice though to play a quality FPS on dedicated servers. Yeah, I read the OP. I get why its not on Xbox. What I don't get is why its not on PC as well as PS3, where their existing userbase already is. I mean, if you're suppose to cooperate in both this game and eve to reach a goal, it would be kind of nice to be able to communicate as well. edit: I guess its possible to sit on skype on the computer while playing on the ps3, even thought its a workaround. I'm just hating because I want to play this game, and I can't stand fps games on consoles.

Simple answer from the main economics employee of CCP was: "We want seperate markets, so we aren't eating from the EVE market as much". Basically it was a decision of theirs to atleast start the game on a totally seperate market, so they Dust playerbase will be a bit more seperate from the EVE playerbase, which will probably make it more fun for Dust players(that they don't _need_ to know the whole history of EVE) and entering a new market will make the CCP's brand open for wider audience.

I don't dismiss that they've said that, but that only really makes sense if the game is similar and completely seperate from the other game in question. They wont be eating out of their current market, any more than they'll be eating out of WoWs market. People play EvE because they like that game, not because they're going to abandon it on the first sign of an FPS coming out. And like I said, if these two games are to impact eachother, communication between them will be important. Communication, which consoles lack. And as a mostly pc gamer myself (I do own a ps3, but I only take it out to play with friends or certain driving games), I loathe playing fps games on consoles. Which is really sad because I did like the eve universe, although after two months the constant grinding put me off, and I would have loved to play this game.
