To my knowledge there hasn't been anything said about a TL Dust Corp. I skim the Eve Corporation thread a bit and haven't seen anything but that doesn't mean they haven't discussed it to themselves off the forum.

The main TL community corp (Shield Battery) is a FW corp, so there is some potential overlap between a Dust group and Shield Battery. If you want to talk to one of the directors of Shield Battery then hop into the in game channel Hatchery Pub and ask for a Shield Battery director. They tend to be on most during US prime time, so that would be your best bet to find one of them.

what kinds of fit is everyone running?

I'm currently running assault with a focus on shields. working towards 2 complex shield extenders and militia everything else.

Logi build. Type I suit with nanite injector, nanohive, and militia rep tool. I've got GEK assault rifle but typically run around with the cheap basic assault rifle and iron sites cause it works great. I'm using a shield extender and recharger right now but I'm more than likely going to switch those out for damage mods so I can do clean up quicker in areas to revive downed teamates.

I've found it better to use double extenders instead of 1 recharger. 15% doesn't make that much difference but the extra shield can keep u alive longer.

Basically working towards same build as recline. Started a new char too cause always hit the SP cap really quick, and I want a char with all the base skills that I can specialize later.

Started with a sick K/D on the new one. Then had a match against my corp and it plummeted lol. They really need to work on the matchmaking system. So many times get 1-2 corps making up the majority of 1 team facing a pug team for a farm fest.

I applied to Tritan Industries (website then ingame) a week before Southern, took em 2d to setup my website access and then I heard nothing from them since.

Turns out Southern is full of Aussies so its a better fit anyway.

Also I ended up buying a crappy PS3 bluetooth mic - EX-03

I cant get the volume right, very hard to hear some ppl. Could just be their mics but its soo much worse than just using proper communication like TS on a PC. That and Dust push to talk doesn't work. I'm learning to breathe quieter lol.

Ah ok I got yah. I joined Zion TCD because at the moment they appear to be the most organized and have a legitimate plan for what they want to do. But considering the is still in BETA and very new we'll have to see how it all pans out.

As far as mics I personally highly recommend the official Sony wireless BT ones for $99. I had the TurtleBeach PX21's prior to them and my only regret was not getting them sooner. The battery life is 6-8 hours, no wires obviously, extremely comfortable and the audio is crystal clear. I'd check em out if you have the money.

Yea i'm thinking about getting the Sony ones. Currently my mic makes it really hard to hear ppl properly. Also our first tournament seed match was a disaster, missing key ppl and got a team together at the last minute.

Key to corp battles seems to be running mostly heavy suits. The guys we faced were all using broadside HMGs too with flux grenades. Completely shutdown my shield tank assault setup.

Starting to rethink my Assault skillplan.

Edit: oh my corp is facing urs today. This should be interesting.

I have a question about Orbital Bombardment.

I know for the EVE side you have to be in FW to do OBs, but do you have to be in the same corporation to do so? Or as long as you're on the same side you can offer OB support?

Ppl in militia get raped by anyone decent with Type I gear or higher.

I can kill ppl with militia gear as well (skillpoints are helping) but when coming across anyone in decent gear you get destroyed.

I had originally been planning to start and run the tl dust 514 Corp. When hatch fell apart I ended up putting it on the back burner. If theres enough interest I might pick it up, especially if theres some good stuff for us to do with FW if shield battery gets re kickstarted.

Right now I'm running with subdreddit in anticipation of planetary conquest. A lot has changed since I made the OP, I might rewrite it this week.

Ideally if anyone currently with dust wants to squad up I started an ingame channel 4Gate for that purpose.
