that dunk was MONSTER
if frye decided to contest that jam... he would've been on posters for the next decade
I'm late on this response, but when I said Europeans that don't deserve to be in the league, I'm looking at GMs like Ernie Grunfeld who every year drafts random Euros and South Americans who bomb out of the league in half a year because they were project draft picks that amounted to nothing. Until this year half our roster was filled with a bunch of sub-D-league level international players, like O-Pec and the likes. There're tons of these terrible players, and there're tons of terrible GMs who draft international because they're less of a known commodity, hence making them overrated as hell. There're plenty of US players who don't belong in the league that are in, but it's less likely to happen (unless a team is either trying to grow a prospect or is desperate to fill roster slots) because you're more likely to "know what you're getting" - hence why the NBA draft tends to be more predictable than most other sports.
Edit: I brought them up specifically with regards to the Kentucky vs dreadful NBA team discussion because I legitimately feel that these players are WORSE than the players on Kentucky! Just like how washed-up 34-year-old balky-knee big men will get out-played by younger, lottery-bound big men even with their superiority in experience and such.
Pre-trade for instance with the Wiz you were honestly looking at this horrific starting lineup consisting of friggin McGee and Young. Are you serious. I think they're legitimately WORSE PLAYERS than the guys on Kentucky!
And then you have like Vesely, who may or may not become good in the future, but right now looks pretty bleh. Highly debatable if he's any better than lottery-bound players at this current juncture.

What on earth are you talking about. You're going to need to name players, because I don't even know who you're referring to other than Pecherov. There are far more american busts, both in absolute and relative terms, and the fact that you notice only the ones from Europe says a lot about you.

this time it actually worked, probably because it was calderon in front of him...
southlight, you can't honestly think that kentucky could compete with the pre trade deadline wizards? I mean, they had so much size up front mcgee and blatche would average 10 blocks, and john wall, crawford, young would be able to throw up 20 points each, at least. the size just isn't fair, davis would be pushed everywhere, and john wall would outplay teague so hard. the only advantage kentucky has is kidd-gilchrist, and even the wizards have a player that could at least slow him down, if not out right shut him down.
kentucky would be lucky to break 50 and stop the wizards from getting 100.
These college vs pro arguments come up almost every year, and really they're just brought on by college basketball fans trying to build credibility for their team of choice.
The simple fact is, even bench players on terrible NBA teams are well above the average skill level of college basketball players. The size, athleticism and skill differential between even the worst NBA team and the best college team is just insurmountable. It'd be the same situation in any sport.
Pros are pros, and college is college. Leave it at that.

I'd add to that, it like people thining Serena Williams could have beaten a top 1000 mens player in her prime (there was a lot of talk about her entering men's tournaments when she was always winning the women's tournaments).

It's laughable to think it would even be close.
Actually, that would be more likely than Kentucky beating a NBA team..
