If he wanted to stay in Orlando, couldn't he just refuse to sign an extension with another team if he was traded?

As people have said, he was never committed to leaving OR staying, he was genuinely torn, and went the wrong way about it. I'd say most people also genuinely figure the agent fucked up his PR because he wouldn't get paid until Dwight gets a new contract, and the only way to do that is to force a trade (get paid by signing a new contract/extension immediately) or getting him to opt out (get a new contract then). Instead now the guy's been working for Dwight for however many years and has gotten yet another pay delay. Yeah we were swarming the post. It was pretty tear-jerking to see :'(

On another team, Portland got one hell of a deal for Gerald Wallace. That 1st round pick is gold! That is if the Nets continue the season as they have.

Though I miss Gil. He sucked at defense but his work ethic was awesome. I just wish it rubbed off on the stooges (Young, McGee, Blatche).

Rush is slated to be a FA this offseason I think? I doubt he gets extended if that's the case. Also the Dubs are banking a lot on two "superstars" made of glass (although Bogut's injuries are pretty freaky). Still though with potentially 4 draft picks (and one lotto pick if they play their cards right) the Dubs got options to replace Rush (or not). They need to sit Curry, play Biedrens/JT more, hell just say "fuck it" and play all their rookies and go full on balls-to-the-walls tank mode like right now though b/c keeping that draft pick away from Utah should be priority #1... knowing the Dubs though they'll finish 9th seed in the West though =/

I'll miss you. 5 Rings for the Purple and Gold, and leadership on and off the court throughout. Won't forget all you've done for us fans! I think that this is much bigger than people think. This guy is basically the leader in the dressing room and who keeps Kobe in check. You don't get rid of players like Fish at the trade deadline...he's the 6'2" Robert Horry.

I don't like the Clippers' acquisition of Nick Young, either. That guy is in love with the off the dribble pull up long 2, which is a terrible shot.

I assume they were willing to let go of the pick because they see something in Hill and think he'd be better than whoever they would have drafted in that position, or at least that he'd be ready to contribute in both this season and the next as opposed to a few years down the road. This is a team that wants to win now, and they don't have time to take on rookies who will get almost no playing time and can't contribute to a championship right away.

He's not a good shooter and his defense is decent at best right now, but he's got good quickness, ballhandling and passing and probably could've been a starting PG in the NBA already. He had a lot of good games for the Bucks and then got traded and stuck behind Flynn and then Kyrie Irving. I mean he's averaging 10/5 in 24 mpg, which is pretty good for a backup. I only know about him because he dropped 44 on the Pistons a few years ago. Yeah, Sessions is the better choice, during Irving's injury Sessions posted a 14,8ppg 8,1apg statline in a winning period for the Cavs, he doesn't force shots because he knows it's not his strength, and he's good at feeding people which will be nice for the Lakers

After a while coach-bashing reach a point of diminishing returns, it's the same coach that led them to beat the Heat and so forth, if you lose to a Suns team without Nash & Hill I'd probably look at the players and ask what the fuck happened..

So when the Clippers beat the Heat the coach gets the credit, but when they lose to the Suns it's the players' fault? Right... Anyway I'm just joshing. I didn't see the game so I couldn't tell you who was at fault.

How on earth did you get that out of what I wrote? Both players and coaches are due credit for wins and the blame for losses.. if it was soley Del Negro's fault they lost to THAT Suns team then how the fuck could they've beaten Miami? .. people are way too trigger-happy when it comes to shitting on coaches.

See edit above. The coach-bashing only gets old because everyone has accepted it as fact. Did Del Negro lose them that game single-handedly? No. Is the Clippers' talent compensating for his terribleness? I don't see how you could argue otherwise.
