vdn is a bad coach though, they hire gim for player development for a reason. No, he is not a bad coach, he is a terrible coach, and they hire him because he was fired from chicago so chicago is paying like half his contract and Donald Sterling is Donald Sterling.

I expect nothing less from Del Negro. After a while coach-bashing reach a point of diminishing returns, it's the same coach that led them to beat the Heat and so forth, if you lose to a Suns team without Nash & Hill I'd probably look at the players and ask what the fuck happened.. They were dominating early and I tuned out. Probably just got complacent.

I would consider that a successful coaching job, even if it was thibs defensive schemes that ultimatelt got him the nod.
still don't understand why dwight decided to opt in, he cost himself at least a million. I guess he thinks he won't get 19 mil after his contracts over, so he should take it now and get that money later.
deron was smart, he was all like "fuk dat I mak mor wit da contrat."

I'm curious to see how much lower Dwight's next contract will be.

No, I never said that, and how on earth you manage to state that is beyond me..

Well said. IMO it is a shame he is not staying with Orlando :/

Well the sessions trade should mark the end of slowtime, I still feel thats not a team Mike Brown can coach, not to a championship anyway..

Is it hard to pass the ball to Dwight Howard when he's posting up? Magics doesn't do that every position, why? If i were them, i would just ride on his back every position till he's tired.

Not sure he'd coach the 96 Bulls to a championship.

Because Dwight Howard is a terrible passer and isn't dominant offensively. They would lose a lot of games trying that.

I was concerned about Woodson from his Hawk days, but I like what I seeing. Shit even Melo is boxing out on rebounds; this might be a miracle in the making.

If Melo continues to do that in the 2nd half, I think it will be a miracle lol

Woodson is smart switching his 2nd units out early to set the tone for defense, and then switch back the first team after they got the lead. I like what i'm seeing too. Too bad Davis went down again, he was looking very good today.

I saw a Pacer running down an open lane and Stat actually contesting a shot
we'll see if the coaching change actually created a change in team play & philosophy because I just think it's short term increased effort right now and Stat & Melo will eventually get lazy again when the Knicks get beat down by some teams during a losing streak
|
Wow, they have quite the lead against the Pacers. It's still halftime and shit can go awry, but color me surprised at this point.

The funny thing is the ball movement we are seeing right now is the ball movement we were supposed to see under D'Antoni. It's like Woodson combined that with structured offensive sets and defensive rotations. A lot of it could be attributed to new-found motivation. The players are just trying harder on both ends of the court.
But I really like the rotations between the 1st and 2nd unit. Haven't seen any of this "Iso Joe" stuff either.
