they still seem a piece short right now from having a solid enough bench.

Oh wow, Young just went to the Clippers for Cook and a draft pick It's Young to Clips, Nene to Washington & JaVale McGee to Denver.. holy crap .. and it's said that Wizards had the option of getting DMC +1 for JaVale & Blatche.. whaaat the fuuuuuck .... and Portland fires McMillan! Are they trying to tank their season as much as possible now?

Don't know why Nate was fired, my guess is for a player coach, or a development coach to come in. No need for a playoff coach for the next two years.

I'm pretty sure that tanking wasn't intentional though, now they gave up their best defensive players in Camby and Wallace .. maybe they're banking on a Oden comeback LOL

yeah think wiz did well. not sure about the full details of the trade but if they get some more assets/picks then that would have been a great trade.

It doesn't matter how you look at it really, bottom line is you got rid of McGee, and that's a huge victory in itself :D

Funny, they call this a three team trade, but it was more of a Nick Young for 2nd rounder + Brian cook, and a swap of JaVale and Nene

Lakers finding someone to take Walton off their hands and give them a solid PG option was a huge move for them. Picking up two athletic, upside guys in Hill and Eyenga is also nice for their aging roster. Mixed feelings about Fisher because it makes sense in terms of winning and helping the team improve, but it's sad to see him go. It'd be interesting to see if he gets waived and maybe makes a return to the Lakers next season. I see the GWall trade as NJ's way of showing DWill that they're working to improve the roster and to try to convince him to stick around. Not enough of a cap expert to figure out how it affects their ability to make a run at D12 in 2013, but seems like a solid move for them. I feel like WAS picking up Nene and a first rounder for Young and McGee was a great move for them. Nene is a huge ugprade over McGee if he can return to form, and they already have Crawford to fill Young's role. As someone else said, Wall has to be happier, and that's about as important as anything to WAS.

As for the Lakers... Sessions is an upgrade over Fisher, Jordan Hill is an upgrade over Walton. They level'd up their team without losing anything (and I think they also gained ~2 mill in cap space). Really good moves by them. They didn't shake things up and got a notch better, which tbh is all they really needed IMO. As long as Jordan Hill and Sessions can play the way they're supposed to and can learn the system, this team should be very dangerous (assuming nobody gets hurt). I guess that's a lot of assumptions though

I think they STILL need a little more.

Now, if they somehow manage to somehow manage to trade off Baltche for something good, I think Wizards fans would go nuts.

It looks like the Lakers gave up Kapono, Walton and a first round pick for Sessions and Eyenga. Well worth it.
